Who do you most want to lose?

Of people I can actually vote against, Ted Cruz by a mile.

Of people who deserve to lose for their blatant attempts to game the system, Georgia goobernatorial candidate Brian Kemp.

So many to choose from!

Let’s go with Jim Jordan of Ohio.

There are so many good choices but I’ll have to go with Walker, with Cruz half a nose behind. I’d really like to see Devin Nunes eat it, but as lomg as he keeps talking about more water for the Central Valley it wo’t happen even if he actually does fuck all about it.

Stranger

I agree that Newsome should not win, he’s like a Hallmark TV Movie version of a smarmy ex-husband politician.

For me, I would like to see Dianne Feinstein finish out her long and illustrious career. Her opponent is also a Democrat (yay for open primaries!), so we keep the seat either way. I just feel she has outstayed her usefulness. We need new younger folks in office (yes, there, I said it, age is a determining factor for me).

My first thought was the Mississippi Senate race as the most brown-pants-inducing outcome for the GOP* (even with the stipulation that it’s a lightning-strike one-off rather than a harbinger of a larger trend), but the framing in terms of “who do you most want to lose?” breaks down in a three-way two-Republican one-Democrat (with possible runoff) race.

*Losing any of the deep-red states where there was clearly no way for the Democrat to win without miraculous happenstance just wouldn’t have that effect IMO.

I’ll therefore go with Cruz, even though his Republican Senate colleges would consider getting rid of him to be a refreshing silver lining on that particular loss.

I’d like some other Democrat to take the Speaker’s gavel from Pelosi (assuming the House flips). I know she’s liked by fellow members, but I find her uninspiring and uninteresting.

But who’s loss would make my night? Lying Ted Cruz. Whatever (little) respect I had for him for calling out Trump in the Primaries was long ago lost. His lack of integrity is still shocking to me.

I’d gladly see any Democrat lose,
If it meant being rid of Lyin’ Ted Cruz.

I would like to see Cathy McMorris Rogers lose her seat in Congress.

Kris Kobach is vile and I wish he would lose.

The only thing I like about Ted Cruz is that he renounced his Canadian citizenship, and so is no longer an embarrassment to this country. So, I’ll pick him.

I would thoroughly enjoy seeing Brian Kemp lose the Georgia governor’s race because it would mean his blatant voter suppression efforts failed, because he’s so far up Trump’s ass he can taste spray-tan, and because he just sucks in general.

Sure. It has been an interesting race, though, including the two primaries. Johnny O appears to be a skilled pol.

The funniest thing I ever saw in the primaries was Ted Cruz calling out Trump for “New York values”. And Trump just totally turned it around, talking about 9/11 and capitalism and stuff, while Ted Cruz just sat there getting smaller and smaller.

I wonder how Ted feels about having to suck up to Trump after Trump personally slagged his wife and father. Like, does he have hu-mon emotions? Or is he just dead inside?

Isn’t he “beautiful Ted” now? That should be sufficient reward.

I grew up in that district and I share your loathing of Huizenga from family and friends that still live there. But he isn’t going to lose and I think a 6 point loss would be a good showing indeed for Davidson.

Ted Cruz is my choice, because if he goes down the Senate may turn blue. Plus he is the most unlikable motherfucker not currently living in the White House.

Being from Florida I’ll be happy to see the last of Rick Scott.

I was thinking about this the other day. I have done a lot of campaigning on behalf of various candidates at all political levels, and unfortunately the circumstances of my life right now are constraining my ability to do much of anything…BUT THERE ARE SO MANY PLACES I WANT TO GO and SO MANY CANDIDATES TO WORK AGAINST (I mean FOR).

A sampling:

Brian Kemp sinks lower in my opinion every day. If I can’t win fair and square, I’ll cheat cheat cheat by misusing the position to which I was elected. Can’t get much lower than that.

Ted Cruz. As mentioned. Nothing to add.

Steve King. Also mentioned above. A Confederate flag, for a guy from Iowa. “Heritage not hate” my fucking ass.

Though I do not live in PA, I have campaigned there many times and have a certain feeling of connection with the state and its politics. The GOP gubernatorial candidate (can’t believe I’m forgetting his name) who threatened Gov. Wolf – “better wear your catcher’s mask because I’m coming to stomp on your face with golf spikes…” Yeesh. And Lou Barlatta, who was Trump before Trump and is such a precious snowflake that he is offended to the max by Bobby Casey’s campaign ads regarding insurance and pre-existing conditions. Right, Lou, let’s take the issue off the table because you can’t deal with it and it reminds you of your own ill grandson. Give me a freaking break.

So many more besides…But this is a good start. Pity I can’t be as involved as I would like to be…

Ted Cruz, definitely.

After that, either Brian Kemp (Georgia governor’s race) or Scott Walker.

Kevin Cramer for Senator from North Dakota. Especially if means Native Americans have been re-enfranchised.

I’m keeping an eye toward the Senate too, but instead of Cruz I’m going with Marsha Blackburn, who is running for Bob Corker’s seat. She’s neck and neck with moderate Democrat and former TN governor Phil Bredesen.

Marsha has all the extreme partisan conservative views as Cruz, but is half as smart and twice as easy to influence with campaign contributions. She’s a pro-wall, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim Trump cheerleader. She’s voted against the Violence Against Women Act and provided full-throated support to the dismantling of Net Neutrality (the telecomm industry has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to her campaign). She also exacerbated the opioid crisis in TN by loosening regulations on opioid manufacturers (the pharma industry is her other large source of funds). She is also an anti-science, anti-LGBT, anti-healthcare crazy person. Her highest sense of duty is to her donors first, Trump and the Tea Party second, and her constituents last. With Jesus thrown in there somewhere.
