Who do you most want to lose?

He is undead, and “sucking up” is what keeps him animated. Still, you’d think even a vampire would have more of a backbone than to support a former opponent who called him a liar and defamed his father as the Kennedy assassin. “Come on, Ted!

Stranger

Yeah…but…HE’S A REPUBLICAN! :smack:

During the 2016 campaign, IIRC Joni Ernst held an anti-rally in a small town in the middle of nowhere, scheduled at 8am on a weekday on the assumption that nobody would show up. The room was packed.

Shit, didn’t think about him. He’s even more vile than Scott Walker, which is saying a great deal. I’m switching my choice to Kobach. I’d do some* major* celebrating if he loses.

Let me clarify. It was more of an anti-Democratic town hall, and yeah, people were calling into their workplaces and even their kids’ schools to say they would be late, and why.

What’s this “Zodiac Killer” crap? Cruz actually looks like a cross between Eddie Munster and Joe McCarthy.

It’d be palatable to see a trade-off: Cruz defeated along with New Jersey’s favorite sleazeball, Robert Menendez.

OK, well we’re pretty well placed to win the House already. So if I can pick just one to affect it’s gotta be a Senate race.

I’m tempted to join the “Dump Cruz!” bandwagon. But my personal dislike aside, I think losing Mitt Romney would be the far greater shock to the GOP’s system. Nobody really likes Cruz, so he doesn’t accomplish much. And he has a way of bringing out the worst in Trump; the more daylight on that the better.

Romney is more strategic, a better leader, and does more to further the GOP agenda. So I think from a standpoint of keeping the GOP in check I’d have to choose a Romney loss.

Amen. That would indeed be an extremely pleasant surprise. I already voted against her.

As a lifelong Kansan, it’s gotta be Kris Kobach. I’m cautiously optimistic, as his opponent, Laura Kelly, has won the endorsements of a number of prominent Republicans, including two former governors, Mike Hayden and Bill Graves.

It’s a close one, but I’ll go with “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz, although what Brian Kemp is doing in the Georgia governor’s race makes him a close second.

Brian Kemp, not just for the goofy conflict-of-interest with his planned Secretary of State/Governor swap, but also the soul-crushing pain he’ll feel by getting beat by some uppity black lady (Stacey Abrams).

Not the most convincing reasons to want a candidate to lose. Any others? (Would that be a derail?)

Gotta go with Cruz. Reasons unnecessary.

Mo Brooks, my own House representative (Alabama 5th district). One of the hard-core “Freedom Caucus” members. Perhaps most famous for saying the sea level rise may be due to rocks falling into the ocean.

FiveThirtyEight gives him 99.9% chance of win, however. And that’s despite his having a the strongest opponent he’s ever faced.

Hiding in plain sight.

There’s no longer any choice about who must lose.

I just got a mailing warning me that “Chuck Schumer And Nancy Pelosi Are Coming For Your Guns!”

It seems that Democrat Danny O’Connor (running for Congress) is part of the gun-seizing cabal threatening our freedom.

And sure enough, I caught Nancy Pelosi lurking in my shrubbery last night. Fortunately I was able to drive her off with a couple blasts from my 30-06.

Sure, Demoncrats, go on plotting and giggling. We’re ready for ya.

As it affects my state, Mike DeWine who is the Republican nominee for governor of Ohio. I’m not a fan of Sherrod Brown per se but DeWine is a vile little troll of a man. After DeWine, I sure hope to see Ted Cruz lose.

See, that’s why you should never hire the Knights of Ni to do your landscaping. You wind up with far too many shrubberies in your yard for the gun-grabbers to lurk in.

No, no! It’s not Demoncrats, it’s just Demonrats!

Nitpick: I think you meant Richard Cordray, who’s the Dem candidate for Governor of Ohio.

Sorry, I didn’t realize that convincing you was a condition of posting in this thread.

:dubious:

Perhaps not a condition stated in the OP.
Uh, pardon for asking?

:dubious: back at ya

I second every word of that. But I would say her highest sense of duty is to herself first, then the rest. She is a Trumpette to the core. It would make my night to see her hopes crushed.
