Who do you want to win Survivor?

Gazoo said:

Nope. The first 4 were a tie, then one for Gervase, and then another. The host specifically said there was no need to read the last vote because it didn’t matter what it was.

I dunno. I think Richard will stick around a bit more. I don’t think Sue will turn on him yet unless he insists on going after Kelly next. I think “Sitting Duck” may indeed be the next one to be booted.

I agree completely. Besides, I would’ve been jealous!

Nope, don’t think so. At least not unless Sue completely turns around from her claim that she wouldn’t do that to her – and that was a private claim, not a public one, so I think she meant it.

I think it would be pretty funny if Rudy were to win. If it’s not Richard (which I don’t think it will be), I’m rooting for Rudy (though I don’t think it will be him, either).

'Cus they didn’t like her, for one thing. For another, she wasn’t in the alliance, so she had to go. But several different people mentioned how much she talked and talked, so it sounds like she was getting on people’s nerves.

Not really – he unwittingly helped them a couple of times. Besides, he was an original part of their tribe, so they want to boot the others first. They didn’t see him as a real threat.

I agree. I like the way she explained how she was playing the dumb redneck. She really is at least as conniving as Richard, but she’s just better at it.

Considering that she was allegedly using a stolen credit card or committing credit card fraud or whatever before the show, I have to wonder about that one. She may be blaming the show, but lots of people blame others when they are actually at fault.

Incidentally, I was in a doctor’s office and they had an issue of People lying around from a few weeks ago. It had interviews of some of the folks thrown off (Ramona, B.B., Dirk, to name a few). The amusing one was Dirk, who claimed that he was thrown off because they knew he was a threat. What?! He was a lazy bum! That’s why he was thrown off! Nice try, pal…

Though Colleen is not a direct threat she is an indirect one. Right now she is the only Pagong tribe member left. This means if she were to get down to the final 2, probably all the Pagong members on the jury would vote for her which is 3 votes and if even one Tagi member votes for her she wins and I think it is possible Sean or Kelly would vote for her rather than a Tagi member. I think Susan and Rich both realize this and for that reason will target her now. The longer they wait to vote her off, the more chance there is for the alliance to break or her to get immunity and then she doesn’t get voted off and it comes down to her in the final 2. I say Colleen goes next for this reason, then Sean, then it is up for grabs.

BTW: This so called “Final Four” picture that threw so many people off. It is actually from the Tribal Council from this weeks episode. Do you people think it is actually an altered picture or just a shot where not all the people are seated? There are a lot of people on the SurvivorSucks board saying that Mark Barnett, the produced of Survivor, is a skunk for “cheating” by using a faked picture. I personally feel it could be a genuine picture but that some of the members of the tribe were not seated. I think with all the excess footage they shot there had to be film that could be used to mislead and there would be no need to fake it.

I thought last week that Sean’s “alphabet” plan had to be a scheme, that he was intentionally directing the Tagi Alliance while appearing to be following this innocuous and non-offensive plan. I thought no one could be stupid enough to actually think that voting alphabetically, ** and telling everyone he was doing so**, wouldn’t affect the others’ votes.

Since he dropped that plan last night, he has now lost his ability to control the alliance’s vote by being a known quantity, and he’s toast. I hope he is, anyway, because I have found him annoying from day one.

If I’m pulling for anyone now, I guess it would have to be Colleen, Kelly, or Susan. Sean is an idiot. Rudy just rubs me the wrong way. Richard is too smarmy to like. I have mixed feelings about Susan. I like her propensity to say what she thinks, but there’s something I don’t like about her.

I wish I could get on that island because I’d be the winner!

Gazoo - Not just conniving, pompous, and cocky, irritating. Very important distinction. Yes, Susan is two-faced, yes, Rudy’s a curmudgeon, but neither is a tenth as maddeningly, insufferably irritating as “Girth Vader” (a Salon monicker…those rascals). It just strikes me as really dumb for him to constantly annoy everyone around him when they have the power to vote him off. I’m sorry, but I just find it impossible to root for him.

Another point I forgot to make was that, as the contest nears completion, his fishing skill becomes less important, and he really has nothing else to fall back on. For all his strategy, it’s going to take several miracles for him to actually win this thing.

David B - Only Kelly knows for sure, of course, but I think I have some idea of what prompted her “moralizing”. What I think now is that she knew she wasn’t totally innocent and was capable of really bad things, and now, in an environment where that kind of dishonesty and cold-bloodness was necessary, it scared the hell out of her. Not every wrongdoer is a rotten cheap bastard; some of them really do regret their deeds afterwards. (I know I have.)

I hate Rudy, Rich, and Susan. They all annoy me. I’m hoping for Coleen or Kelly, maybe Sean. He may have been an idiot with his ABC “strategy”, but i dont think he did it in mean spirits. I think he’s just a nice guy who made a dumb move. That being said, I’m glad Gervase is gone, but I miss Jenna and Greg. The Greg/Coleen relationship was interesting. It was about the only source of sexual tension on the show. Oh yeah, did anyone else notice that Jenna was all dolled up when she came back for the tribal council? It’s like she wanted to rub it in to everyone, “Hey, look at me, I’m living in civilization now.”

here is my prediction. Next episode, Sean goes. You would think colleen, but Kelly likes her, and she does not like sean. So I think her 'price" for staying in, was that Colleen stays for one more episode. Besides, who would us DOM lust after? kelly’s Ok, but not Sue.

Episode after that, it might be colleen, unless the girls vote off Richard, with the help of Rudy.

Yow. I had no idea she was that vulnerable. Richard was reluctant to vote for her, for crying out loud. All the signs pointed to Sean or Kelly, and as far as I could tell the “little red flags” that CBS keeps scattering around indicated to Richard.

Okay, six days to go, former Pagong history…now what? Sean earned a stay of execution by giving Richard a break (the first good idea he’s had so far), but how long will it last? The proverbial Damocles sword has moved from Sean to Kelly, but will the Gang of Three actually vote her off…knowing that she could be the swing vote in the next tribal council?

Damn…just a few more minutes and Colleen would have been safe…

If if comes down to Richard, Rudy, and Susan (god forbid), then Susan’s got it in the bag. Of course, the two R’s may figure this out beforehand and give her the boot, in which case it becomes anyone’s game. I still think Richard has a snowball’s chance, but Rudy (who seems to me every bit as unproductive as Gervase) just might garner enough sympathy to win out over Sean or Kelly.

Who knows? Certainly not I. So, until next week…

Well, after being completely wrong on the whole Gervase/Colleen thing, I feel funny about commenting, but here goes…

Sean and Kelly are the next two off, barring immunity–the older members seem to be sticking together. Rudy and Susan will kick off Richard, or Rudy and Richard will kick off Susan; depends on who Rudy sides with. Either way, I think Rudy will come across as the least duplicitous of the bunch and win the jury vote.

Um, that is, Rudy is least duplicitous of the Alliance anyway…

If there were no immunity challenges, the result would be obvious - Sean and Kelly are gone, in whatever order, leaving Richard, Susan and Rudy. There’s no way Susan would survive that, and she’s gone. I’d lay 10-1 that the last two people would be Rudy and Richard.

However, the immunity challenges could screw things royally. If either Kelly or Sean wins the immunity challenge after next week, the alliance will be forced to vote for one their group. Let’s say Kelly goes next week, then Sean wins immunity. Richard and Rudy would vote Sue off, leaving Richard, Sean, and Rudy. Then the winner will be determined by the next immunity challenge.

Hey, that brings up an interesting notion - there must not be an immunity challenge when they get to three people, because that would leave just two people to vote, and it would always be a tie. So the structure has to change one more time before the final vote, right?

This must be what the two-hour special is all about. As I recall, when it gets down to four (or three?) it’s all going to be settled in one two-hour show.

Not as I understand it. The person who getes immunity still gets to vote, IIRC, but (s)he just can’t be voted for. Here’s my take:

Clearly, either Sean or Kelly will be on their way out in the next episode. Barring immunity, I see Sean going next. Sue will try to keep Kelly around because they might still have some kind of rapport, and Sue might need her vote when the Tagi Alliance is forced to vote against each other. The Alliance decided on voting out Sean last time, after the IC was finished, but for some reason changed their minds. (Anyone know what Rich was talking about when he voted: “You were supposed to stay, but you screwed up,” or something like that.) Plus, Sean is physically strong, and thus likely to be viewed as a threat. And he’s lost Kelly’s respect.

There’s still a chance Sue might try to muster the votes to kick Rich off, and she might persuade Kelly to go along with her. If Sean could be convinced to go along with this, the Tagi Alliance would be history, and Rudy would be likely gone soon, as Rich seemed to be his primary ally.

Sue doesn’t seem to be in danger right now. I could definitely see Rudy and Rich banding together to try to vote her off, but they probably couldn’t do it without the support of Kelly or Sean, and I don’t see that happening.

I’m rooting for Sue, and here’s how I think she should proceed. She should get rid of Sean if he doesn’t get immunity, which he just might if it’s a physical challenge, and try to maintain at least a decent relationship with Kelly, to keep the voting power to avoid being booted by Rudy and Rich.

I think Rudy or Rich will probably win though, because they seem to have the best relationship right now, while things are tumultuous between everyone else.

My friend told me that they don’t vote each other off now; the losers of the next 3 immunity rounds are booted off. Haven’t heard anything to verify this, though…

aww, man, Colleen was the only hot one.
I dont like Kelly much, she annoys me greatly.

If they changed the format so that the losers of immunity are booted off, that would just royally SUCK. It would change the entire nature of the show from a fascinating political struggle into a game show.

What an amazing letdown that would be.

Nah, I don’t see that at all. They were ready to vote Kelly off last week, if only she hadn’t won immunity. If she doesn’t win again this week, she’s history.

I was sure it was Sean this week. I can’t believe they got rid of Colleen instead. I still don’t understand why.

I think next it will be Kelly, then Sean, then Sue. Since Richard is such a conniving backstabber, everybody on the jury will vote for Rudy. I really think Rudy has it all locked up. He has stayed out of it just enough to not really piss anyone off.

Who do I want to win?

Anyone except Richard and that truck driving nasty broad, whatever-her-name-is. (I forgot.)
