Who else hates their body hair?

Ok, I fess up, I just don’t like body hair, I think it’s ugly, and some of it traps smells.

Not liking my own, I have shaved off my pubes for several years now, very recently I experimented with shaving my legs. Damn, I find smoothe skin so much cleaner and tidier feeling.

For info, I am a bloke, and not at all effeminate, just can’t stand the bodily hairiness.

So I am interested if others feel the same way, and if others have had success with permanent hair removal.

Cheers, Bippy

Never before has there been such an appropriate username/post combination.

If I could do away with the pit hair, then I’d be keen. All the rest is a nuisance, but I’m far too lazy to bother with it.

I hate my body hair. I have hair all over me, including my back. I can’t imagine that it’s very attractive to most women, either, which is probably why I don’t get very many dates.

I’m not fond of my facial hair, back hair, pubic hair or butt hair. the rest of it doesn’t bother me, go figure…

Well, as the song says, “Every last inch of me’s covered in hair…”

I have WAY too much hair… most of it on my head. What really bothers me is that my armpit hair shows UNDER the skin, so I’l shave it off, and you can see dark… makes it look like I didn’t shave it off at all.

And then theres the uni-brow that I have to wax/tweeze at least every two weeks, and then the upper lip stuff that shouldn’t be there cuz I’m a girl, and then theres that line of hair from my navel to… well, you know.

Its very annoying.

I would like 20% more pubic hair. Sometimes I feel like a 10 year old girl. No shaving or trimming needed here.

Wow. What a thing to share. If you use this against me in any way, I will deny knowing you or anything vaguely related to SDMB.

I don’t think it’s fair that my back is getting hairier and my feet are getting bigger. I should get to choose what gets bigger and hairier.

I’m bald up top.

I like my chest hair (not too much, not too little).

My leg and arm hair is “there.”

I don’t like the hair on my lower back.

So it looks like I have two minds on the subject.

100% with you on this one, Bippy. I’m a seventeen year old member of the female persuasion, and not horrendously hairy or anything horridly repulsive, but in regards to what I’ve got, I hate it, hate it, hate it. I shave everything from the waist down. Well, you know, that needs it. I find excess body hair pretty gross in the opposite sex, too. Short of man boobs, the only thing that’s a bigger turn-off is creepy kinky Austin Powers chest hair. Leg hair I can handle (in fact, I guess it’s incouraged) but for the love of God, nothing excessive.

Keep it clipped,
OS

You too? Thank God, I thought I was the only one! I guess that’s what happens with pale skin and dark hair, huh?

I have no objections to my leg hair, but other people probably would, so I remove it. It’s not all that big a deal. Armpit hair I must not have. Any other hair stays where it grows, aside from an occasional trim.

I don’t hate it all–for example, the hair on my arms is fine and blonde. As it should be, with my light coloring. But for some reason I have been “blessed” with gorilla hair on my legs. Disgusting.

I’m kind of hairy. And a little bit turned on!

TMI?

Please read my experience with the Brazillian Wax in this thread. Come to your senses now and don’t do it! It’s not permanent hair removal, but the way it felt I may never have hair grow in that region again.

I’ve got a reasonable amount of body hair, and I like it, damnit!

I think it looks pretty good, but I have had some people make a little fun of it; all in good fun, I assume.

The fact that as the hair on my head thins the hair on my back thickens has only begun bothering me in the past year or so. But it’s starting to accelerate!

As someone who grew up with the TS community; apparently it’s been a long-debated subject, and the results of the debate is that the only really permanent way of getting rid of hair is electrolysis, and depending on how much hair you want to get rid of, can take -years- of weekly sessions.

This comes from ladies who (almost always, if ever) don’t have the money to waste trying this or that in an attempt to remove their body/facial hair, so after years and years of the early TS generations trying everything out, so I think it’s pretty reliable.

I shave, I use Nair (ew), etc… I know some people using laser, but apparently it doesn’t last for them. Gets rid of hair fine, but it comes back…

Wax it. Works perfectly.

Sue,
A fair-skinned, dark-haired chick.

I’m have back, neck, chest, tummy and even knuckle hair. It’s weird hair, but I love all of it. It’s weird because I have seal fur. It’s not curly. Not in the slightest. IT’s long, sraight, dark and fine in texture. It cool actually.

As for body hair on others, let me just say give me a big, burly bear anyday, and I would be happy.

I think unshaved leg and underarm hair feel icky on me, but it’s probably because I’ve been conditioned that way, like most other American women.

I used to shave my pubic hair. But one day I decided I hated shaving it, it was too damn much trouble. I announced it to my boyfriend, and he said “great! no more prickly p—y!” LOL. Apparently it felt prickly on his testicles and penis, but he didn’t want to tell me. Even a few days ago, I just trimmed down there, and he said it was sharp. So the moral of my story is, I’m going au naturel in my private regions. Yay me!!
