Who is NOT dead?

Jim Leavelle

Another one I forgot is Lee Konitz–still gigging at age 89.

Bob Dole is 93.

Actually, I thought he was older.

Carl Reiner will turn 95 next month. Hopefully.

Oh, and Dick Van Dyke is 91. Rose Marie has already been mentioned a couple of times in this thread.

I heard this song earlier this afternoon for the first time in many years, and was reminded of this thread and that I am probably not the only person who is surprised that Lou Gramm, who has been in very poor health for many years, is still with us.

AFAIK, nobody in Foreigner, past or present, has died either.

Months, and the treatments in many cases were worse than the disease. That changed dramatically in the mid 1990s.

Styx bassist Chuck Panozzo and diver Greg Louganis have also battled AIDS for about as long, and they’re still with us and by all accounts in relatively good health.

Baby Peggy, AKA Diana Serra Carey, is 98 years old.

TCM has shown the recent documentary about her a number of times, and it was really obvious from her interviews that she was highly intelligent. Sure enough, they showed the results of an IQ test she had as a child, and it registered at 148.  So, that means she’s as smart as she is old.

I just looked up Greg Louganis, and holy cow! The man is still ripped. There’s an ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue from a year ago that has video of him diving, in the nude. (No naughty bits exposed, but I’m obeying the two-click rule with the spoiler.)

<fans self>

Sir Sidney Poitier is 90 years old .

Jean-Luc Godard is still alive and is working on a new film.

Co-Creator of Spider-Man & Dr. Strange, artist Steve Ditko is still around at 89, and as far as I know, still drawing.

Though he’s such a recluse that when he does pass away, how will we know?

John Romita Sr is also still alive. Coincidentally, he replaced Ditko as the artist for Spider-Man when Ditko quit the series in 1966.

Fats Domino turns 89 today.

The thread about Bill Paxton got me to thinking about Spaceballs, and how Candy and Paxton are now gone, But Mel Brooks, who has looked old since he was 40 and played the ancient Yogurt is still going strong. He may eventually be a 2000 year old man.

ETA :smack: and I got Paxton and Pullman confused again, :smack: ohh well

Robert Duvall is 86.

Jimmy Carter, 92-year-old brain cancer survivor and only President thus far to have been granted eternal life.

Bill Paxton is the one who’s not not dead.

And Carl Reiner may be around to interview him.

For a movie that was made forty-four years ago, The Godfather has a lot of its cast still around: Duvall, Al Pacino, James Caan, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, Gianni Russo, Morgana King, Johnny Martino, and Simonetta Stefanelli as well as director Francis Ford Coppola and producer Albert Ruddy.
