For awhile I was the great lurker. I have been on the boards since late 1997(four years now) and only posted maybe 100 times over a couple years. Of course now, I post at an average rate.
I remember more people on AOL posting once or twice and never coming back. It was easier to participate back then. Less people.
Thank you for clearing this up Bib (may I call you Bib?). Was there some way to search for this information or was it only available to the Admins/Mods?

I know I’m nowhere near a “winner”, but I will typically read/lurk at the SDMB every day.
Occasionally I’ll imagine that I’m great friends with many of the celebs of the SDMB but the only ones I’ve had any meaningful chats with have been Bricker and manhattan (and such did not take place on the SDMB).

I know there’s lots of others here with much lower posts/per/day rates, but mine is pretty low. My claim to fame (?) is that I don’t consider myself a lurker, but a full fledged poster, and yet I still have such a pathetic post count.

Lurking is fun!
I’ve been lurking here pretty much since the beginning of the Board. I used to take a look-see once or twice a week, but now I find myself lurking every day. Most of my attention goes to Great Debates and The Pit, though. Just got off my duff to register a few weeks ago.
Maybe now I’ll post more…
