I’ve tried this before and not gotten much interest, but I know I’ve seen some nutmeggers around the board, and I thought I’d give it another shot.
The Bluesclan will be making it’s annual trip up to my homestate of Connecticut to spend Thanksgiving with my folks, and I’d love to meet some fellow Conneticutian Dopers (as well as anyone else who happens to be able to get there). Anybody up for a get together the Friday evening after Thanksgiving?
I’m thinking maybe City Steam Brewery or Black Eyed Sally’s, but if anyone has any other ideas, I’m pretty open to suggestions.
Well, I only started posting today, but have been lurking for a bit, and might be able to stop down for a beer or two, seeing as I live 10 minutes away in Manchester.

Well, I’ll be in south-central CT, and the places I’ve suggested are in Hartford, which is pretty central. It would be mondo cool if you could come, 'punha!
Well, Fizzy has informed me that we are not going to Connecticut the day after T’giving. Beside which, it would be a long-ass drive, and since Virginia geography hasn’t yet bowed to my wishes I have yet another one of those fun “Let’s see if I can break 6 hours” drives coming up Tuesday.
Cusefan95, depends on the dopefest. Generally it’s slightly more than a gathering of loud people with interesting (;)) views. Lucretia, correct me if I’m wrong but I’m imagining this thing wouldn’t be quite as loud as that dopefest back around two years ago at that pizza place in Old Town, but more rambunctious (ow. I had to have spelled that wrong) than “Meet Anniz” back February of last year.
Of course, if nobody shows it’ll be quieter than mouse tits in winter.

Cusefan95, 'punha has it about right. Given that this seems to be shaping up to be a rather mini-fest, it will probably entail just hanging out somewhere drinking beer. Not that that’s a bad thing!
Lucretia, sorry we can’t be there for the CT Dopefest but I don’t think I’ll be up for a god-knows-how-long-drive from the very Southwest tip of VA to Connecticut, not to mention we’ve got a bit o’shopping and looking to do that weekend for a certain shiney object.
Never fear though, we’ll still be in that part of the country for the New York fest though!
