Who ordered this MMP?

Well, the housework is done, and I will admit the outside of the house looks a lot better than it did, and the worst problems inside have been fixed, so I have parted with a chunk of money, but I think it was well-spent.

Got a roofing contractor coming by Moanday to give me an estimate, and after that windows are next.

Thunder-boomers and lots of rain are in the area right now, we might have another week of soccer game cancellations for Saturday, depending on how much more nasty weather we get. Since I’m due to be down two players, I’m sorta rooting for the rain, but the kids are all wound up and ready to start playing games, so for their sakes I hope it clears up.

Just how many Jewish kids are in his Catholic school class???

Didn’t even see the water & ended up at the tres-expensive place for dinner…& guess who was treating tonight? The only fancy dinner of the week.

We have three incredibly cute 20something bubblegum poppers who figure if they smile and bat their eyelashes enough the employee will just get disgusted and walk away. Sorry – cute never worked well on me.

Dinner was DIY tonight, and groceries have been got for Sunday’s family reunion. (I’m making a roast pork loin with potatoes and caramelized Vidalia onions, a cucumber and tomato salad, and a lemon blueberry pound cake.)

Spent the evening riding out in the country, because I have a fairly stupid idea. Stumbled across an auction for a piece of land about an hour away from us. Totally undeveloped, on a little river, good for nothing except recreation - fishing or four-wheeling or camping. We rode out to look, and have decided that if it goes cheap, we’re buying it. (We don’t hunt, but it’s enough land that we could pay the taxes by leasing hunting rights during deer season, and still have all the other months for target practice and getting muddy, for cheaper than one family trip to an amusement park.)

It’s probably a silly plan. But it’s our plan!

Back to regularly scheduled housewife drudgery tomorrow, but looking forward to seeing the cousins and aunties Sunday. The Boy won’t be able to come eat free lunch - he’s scheduled to work - but I promised him I’d drop off a plate. I have to time the drop-off - after his shift at work, but before he goes to train at the student radio station Sunday evening. I can’t wait to hear his first show!

I worked. It was the end of quarter ,so I did all sorts of things other than working all the ruck. And then they are sending a random pallet 'o crap tomorrow.:smack: That’ll teach me to take a weekend off. I’m making panchetta and pasta with olives, tomatoes and herbs(used meat, used herbs).

1800?

Peaches, if you buy it, Ruble can bring down his 6 Pounder and we could have a grand old Dopefest.

Spidey ,sorry the vacation su par.

Peaches Dinner sounds good. So does the Dopefest for that matter!

Butters how is that hurricane looking?

Spidey sorry about the vacation suckage.

We went out and saw Kubo and the Two Strings. I really liked it. Not your traditional kids movie at all. I’m really looking forward to seeing a “making of” feature on this one at some point.

And for BigKitty,
Wooo! Packers!

The land is probably a total pipe dream. But I just checked the current bid ($500. It’s early yet - the auction ends on September eighth. But it’s almost 62 acres, with almost 1/3 mile of river frontage. Sure, it’s bisected by big power lines, but that’s just a nice clearing for ATVs! And it’s a little bitty river, but just fine for lazing away in an inner tube.) I may decide to hold off on selling my dad’s old motor home, just in case I want to buy it…

The Dopefest sounds epic! (But I’m afraid to ask wth kopek’s Six Pounder refers to?)

It could be the first Dopefest to include explosives; senseless destruction itself has been done before.

Cannons. I have a smaller one myself and access to several more all the way up to a 32 pound carronade. Plus mortars. Lord do I have mortars. It’s like potato chips – it seems you can’t have just one. My favorites shoot golf balls --------- somewhere around 750 yards or so if you do everything just right. Innocent looking little things you could carry around in a tool box; but boy do they pack a punch!

Dang! This could be extremely fun and/or dangerous! Opposing teams, Nerf cannons and SuperSoakers, and try to invade the other side? Convenient boundaries provided by the power lines. (I do have a friend who works for 911 dispatch in that county. Seems like a good thing!)

OK. That settles it. Just mentally added $200 to my maximum bid, because The Georgia Dopefest Jamboree and Ruckus sounds very entertaining!

Up too early on a Saturday - my sleep cycle is out of whack again. dammit. But the critters have been tended to and the cat box has been scooped. Not sure what the day holds - we’ll probably make it up as we go along.

I do have to clear a space in the garage because our pellets are being delivered on Monday. And there’s always laundry. Yep, it’s a laff-a-minnit at FairyChatEstates.

Happy Saturday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 97 and mostly sunny for the day. It was 72 Amurrkin a little earlier so we have a cold front! No big plans for the day other than some possible cee-mint pond time. OYKW mentioned sump’n about goin’ to :eek:Wally*World:eek: last night but as of now he is still abed. We shall see.

OK that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, I may go back to bed or purtify. It’s all willy-nilly at this point!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m off this weekend ,so I shall do laundry.

“Come to The Ruckus, get Nerf grapeshot in the tuckus”
:D:D:D

Happy Saturday!

It’s a sunny 71 outside, supposed to get up to 90.

I have much to do, I’m trying to get motivated.

Smokey insisted I feed her when I was up for my 4am Nature call, so she actually let me sleep until 9!
Still, blurf, because you’d think ill of me if I didn’t

Peaches, a Georgia Mumpfest sounds like a whole lotta fun and one that I could probably make.

After the breakfast dishes are done, it’s off to get the oil changed, do some grocery shopping and staff the booth at the festival.

Tomorrow, it will be some housework and making a roasted tomato and spinach quiche. Yum!

Back from breakfast. And the garage is pellet-ready - there really wasn’t a lot to move. The sweeping was the worst of it, and that took maybe 5 minutes.

I think I’ll put off laundry till tomorrow. Maybe I’ll play in clay today.

Pellets?? But Summer is only half way done!

On Long Island? I thought the first frost was August 1.

Howdy Y’all! Da cave smells brisketerrific! OYKW went to :eek:Wally*World:eek: by himself cause I just couldn’t make myself want to go. He will be bringin’ sustenance home from Wendy’s in just a bit. Then cee-mint pond time!

That’s what will be printed on the tshirts!
