Got second dose of Pfizer about two hours ago. Two weeks to full effect…
Got my first shot of Pfizer two hours ago. No side effects yet, not even sore.
My next shot will be in five weeks. The Danish health authorities have decided to go up to the six weeks limit for the second shot, so as to start most possible vaccinations with a limited supply. When there are more deliveries, they can catch up, hopefully.
Anyway, there are a second dose, with my name on it, in just five weeks .
Just got my second Moderna dose a few minutes ago. Waiting 15 minutes before I can leave.
Just got my 2nd shot of Pfizer about an hour ago.
No waiting at all at the Raritan Expo Center in Edison, NJ. They’ll asking people to tell people to sign up for an appointment with RWJBarnabas Health.
Moderna shot #2. Arrived about 9:38 for my 9:45 appointment, but the sign did say 9:45 so unlike my 1st dose I walked right in. Handed them my card – they crossed my name off a list and then I went to the consent table. Everything was OK and then went to the waiting cone and immediately was directed to a table. Longest wait was for the nurse to look up my name. (I have compound last name and sometimes there is a space and sometimes there is not) (she was a Van Der something so was aware of that issue). Waiting area was about as full as my 1st dose. Now to wait for my immune system to kick into high gear.

What did Arnold Schwarzenegger say when he got his first Pfizer shot?
“I’ll be back.”
(Sorry, saw it on TikTok and had to laugh.)
I’m getting my second Moderna shot next Wednesday. I pre-emptively cancelling my classes for Thursday, fearing the worst but hoping for the best.
I just got my first shot of Pfizer! I feel genuinely relieved and so happy. It’s been a long year, and I know we’re nowhere near the end of this yet, but it feels like progress is being made, and I’m one step closer to being able to travel to visit my friends and family again. That is such a good feeling
I got my first Astrazeneca shot on Wednesday. I signed up with four different pharmacy chains and that was the first one. (AZ demand is a lot lower than the other vaccines, so it was like “get these before they expire!”) I got to pick a specific time to go there.
I had to travel a long distance, then realized I had forgotten to do a screener (the one where I say I don’t have COVID), so oops! I got there early. I can’t say there was a lineup, certainly not more than three people at a time, because this was inside a pharmacy and we all had specific times.
Unfortunately the pharmacy had no signage on where I should go, so I stood in the “wrong spot” by the empty “waiting room” and this probably created a five minute delay. I got the shot, waited in the “waiting room” for 15 minutes while texting people that I had gotten the shot, then I left.
The shot did not hurt at all, even though it was an intra-muscular shot. I almost joke that they deliberately used the smallest needles so the idiots can’t say they’re being injected with microchips. (The idiots don’t know how big a microchip is, though.)
The arm is still sore when I lift it over my head (such as getting dressed and undressed) but otherwise no issues. I can’t wait for the follow-up. There is no specific date yet, just sometime within the next four months.
I had my second Moderna vaccination 18 hours ago. My shoulder is sore at the injection site, and my temperature is 98.0ºF.
I’m a little bummed. Been vaccinated for months, and now I’m hearing about getting free beer, donuts etc for doing it.
A client at work told me he was vaccinated, proffered his card, asked me if he was eligible for any kind of “reward”. I told him he was vaccinated, as am I, and that is an amazingly fantastic reward all by itself. (Now pay me)
Went to Walmart yesterday afternoon; spotted the “Covid-19” signs at their pharmacy and decided I might as well finally get my shot. (Hadn’t done so before because of the hassle of getting an appointment somewhere.) Was offered my choice between J&J and another (don’t remember which); got the J&J so I wouldn’t have to worry about remembering to go back for the second shot.
Got my second dose two hours ago (Pfizer). Feelin’ fine. Arm isn’t even sore this time.
I can hardly believe it, but my 15 year old has an appointment for his Pfizer shot for 9 am tomorrow morning. It is, of course, pending the final CDC Director signing off on the vote they took today, but that is supposed to be imminent. The county let us go ahead and make the appointment at their clinic. Once he’s fully vaccinated, our entire family of four plus our only nearby relative, my mom, will be done. I am starting to feel the weight lifting.
First shot on April 15th: no side effects beyond mild but persistent soreness around injection site for a few days.
Second shot on May 13th: so far, the side effects are identical to the first. I should be in the clear by Memorial Day weekend (knock on wood).
I got my second Moderna shot yesterday at noon. Since I have never had any reaction to a vaccination, I wasn’t too worried.
Whoops!
By yesterday evening my left arm and back were aching a bit. I woke up in pain, alternating chills and sweat, a bit of a temperature and dizziness, and it got worse as the the day progressed. It has subsided a bit, but still hurting. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Stung a bit when it was being injected, but nothing since.
at full vaccination now! looking forward to seeing family and friends in person. coworkers…
i enjoy having a somewhat empty office. not sure how it will be having more than a dozen people around. tptb are in discussions on reopening.
I’ve been fully vaccinated for a while now. Yesterday my friend Sean messaged me that his immunity just kicked in and he wanted to hang out with me and our friend Chris (who recently had brain surgery and had to be vaccinated prior to hospitalization).
We met at our favorite bar, entered masked but unmasked at our reserved table. It was the closest to normal we’ve all had in over a year, other than the hideous scar on the side of Chris’s head.
best wishes.
