Agreed, and the first person I thought of as well.
I enjoyed his latest with Putin, even though I’m no Putin fan because he looked the other way when the 2017 gay purge was happening in Chechnya.

Are there any good actors with little to no depth?
They should do a Jay and Silent Bob movie where, because nobody better qualified wants to work there, they get hired as White House staffers.
We’ll need several years to elapse for proper perspective, so I’m going with the hottest, in-demand auteur of 2035, Bar Knauss.
I haven’t seen The Comey Rule, but Brendan Gleeson comes across as eerily Trumpish.
Chuck Jones or Tex Avery
Carpenter, Argento, Ridley Scott.
M. Night Shyamalan
Actually, Trump would insist on the best. That would mean Trump directs Trump.
Not mentioned/suggested yet: the empty chair guy himself, Clint Eastwood.
But we’re all agreed that Danny Devito will play Giuliani, right?
High five! That’s who I thought of too.
Too bad Klaus Kinski has passed away. He would be perfect.
Haven’t seen John Waters here yet. He’d probably do it, too.
Maybe trump will bankroll it himself, in which case it will be written and directed by Jared Kushner.
Director: Abel Ferrara (He’s New York to his tootsies; did Bad Lieutenant, the first one with Harvey Keitel - but come to think of it, Werner Herzog, who did Port of Call New Orleans, would be a good choice as well).
Star: Brendan Gleeson. He already played Trump once (in miniseries The Comey Rule) and captured his one-note personality splendidly.
He’s also directed a couple episodes of The Mandalorian, plus writing, directing and playing Hitler in Jojo Rabbit, he’s in the delayed Free Guy, and I can’t remember what’s happening with We’re Wolves, the What We Do In The Shadows spinoff, but apparently that’s happening too. He’s a creative powerhouse at the moment.
Coen brothers seconded.
Mel Brooks +3
Blazing Wingnuts
Should it be a Horror Film?
Or a Cartoon?
A pity Divine is no longer with us. That could have made for an interesting casting.
