If Kattan was still doing something on TV, I would probably despise him as another talentless hack taking money that should be mine – somehow.
I think he’ll turn out to be like Troy McClure – with some kind of weird fish fetish, or possibly one related to small rodents.
I think people like to follow celebrity stories because they’re like “friends” that everyone knows. That’s my best theory.
Also they like to see the glamorous Hollywood types reduced down to their level.

I had never heard of Chris Kattan before this thread, but I will say that the picture in the OP reminded me of the immortal Bat Boy of Weekly World News fame.
