…or, HOLY SHIT, MONKEY WOMAN!
Damn, my respect for her went up about five notches. Iron Enforcer? Down about fifteen. Seriously, what the Hell? A foot from the damn door and you give up?
We’re at the commercial break before the first elimination, and my guess is Cell Phone Girl goes bye-bye. In addition to lasting a whole 4 seconds, and then blaming it on the headache, she STILL blamed it on the headache when ‘called out’ by Stan Lee and asked to explain why she should stay! Superheroes don’t complain! They just grit their teeth and fucking do it! You’re pretty cute, but damn, if you ain’t a moron. Seeing as you’re Cell Phone Girl, I can only imagine you’re that fucking bitch who has her phone go off five or six times in class, annoying the fuck out of everyone. I won’t be sorry to see you go.
Besides, Lemuria is about fifteen times hotter than you, and smart, to boot (her bio mentioned she knows three or four languages.) And Monkey Woman (she really should be Monkey Girl, rolls off the tongue easier) is also cuter than you, and not a ditz.
Everything seems to be happening so fast on this program. It’s only the second episode and four people have already been eliminated. I wonder how many more episodes there’ll be if we keep losing two heroes per episode.
I hate some of the new costumes though-- Lumuria’s was cooler before and with the icky cape, I won’t be able to see Major Victory’s loverly bum as often. Oh, well. What was up with Ty’veculus’ new threads? WTF. I think they were supposed to bad. Blah. Hmm. There’s more I wanted to say, but I’m all distracted at the moment for some reason. I hope Fat Momma wins. Majory Victory had better make it to the final round, too.
Yeah, I can’t see nearly as much as Lemuria’s awesome breasts with the new outfit, and her cape hides her equally awesome ass. What the Hell? And I agree that Tyveculus’s costume was meant to be bad, in the hopes he would say it was bad. But he did so only after lying and saying he liked it.
I love the twist with making Iron Enforcer a villain. My guess is that he was brought on to the show just for that reason, and was maybe even informed of it ahead of time. I mean, Stan kept saying how superheroes never kill, don’t use guns, etc…, yet he lasted until a fourth elimination.
But it looks like the rest of the heroes find out next episode that he becomes a villain. I don’t approve of that. They should make them wait until the last episode. Maybe showing him in his costume a few times, since it’s different enough from his hero one that they probably wouldn’t recognize him (especially with the mask.)
Plus that whole scene in the alley or whatever where Stan offers to make him a supervillian couldn’t have looked faker. I kinda knew that these shows are about 98 percent less “real” than they look, but that scene really killed the illusion.
I hope Monkey Woman’s performance was real, that was pretty cool.
This was really awesome… some sort of cable mixup is giving extended cable for the time being so I was able to see both episodes they showed tonight. I love this show.
I totally called making Iron Enforcer a super villain.
But I honestly thought Stan would say “I want you to meet some old friends” and Levity, Nitro G and Cell Phone Girl would be there in new villainous costumes. And the show would have some team vs team competitions.
Right now Major Victory, Feedback (who got the beyond coolest costume makeover) and Monkey Girl are my favorites.
There’s only six episodes in this series. I guess it’ll have more next season if it proves popular.
I was watching the rerun of the first episode tonight when it hit me that Levity and maybe some of the other eliminated heros were going to come back as villians. I’m very pleased that the Iron Enforcer is the one so far who actually got picked though. He looked stunned and baffled at the idea but I’m sure he’ll pull it off very well.
Poor Tyveculus, being made to wear that goofy costume. Especially when it was obvious he’d put a lot of time and money into the making of his original one. Feedback should have been the one to wear it. Besides, what he wound up looks like he should be riding around on a crotch rocket. Not very superheroey, in my opinion.
Does anyone think Lemuria’s new costume makes her look like she ate Fat Momma’s entire cache of donuts? She looks like she suddenly gained 20 pounds. Oh and yeah, her old costume was much better, even if she did look like she was going to bounce out of it a time or two. Maybe she was supposed to say she didn’t like it too.
Fat Momma looks great in her new costume though. I hope she makes it until the final show. Likewise, Monkey Girl. Way to go with the dogs! Wooohooo! Maybe she’ll win the whole shebang!
Just want to add that I’m still smitten with Lemuria, who should make it to the finals based on looks alone. Major Victory is the most fun to watch. Monkey Woman really showed me something in this episode. I do have to disagree with boub, though. CPG has (had?) MW beat in the Aesthetics Dept.
Ahh, but did you see last week’s episode when Monkey Woman was in her ‘secret identity?’ She was, IMO, better looking than her her costume. She had a definete hot nerd look going with the horn rim glasses.
They each had to get through a yard with two attack dogs in it (they were each in safety/anti-dog wear). The dogs would continue to attack them until they either got to the back door or said “uncle” and gave up. The rest of them all either got to the door or gave up within a minute. Monkey-Girl was in there fighting to get to the door for 9 minutes.
Cell Phone Girl and Iron Enforcer put in especially piss-poor performances. Cell Phone Girl just froze and called “uncle” 4 seconds in. That’s an elimination. And Iron Enforcer called “uncle” when he was only a foot from the door! What’s up with that? Did he take a dive? You can’t bulk up like he has, even on steroids, if you aren’t willing to work hard.
My Spidey-Sense is telling me Iron Avenger was told to throw the dog attack thing. The guy was going as strong and steady as you would expect a muscle-bound bouncer should be and he yells “Uncle” once he’s 12" from the goal?! Even Major Victory was carrying those dogs along off the ground.
It’s clear the “plot” for the show was going to utilize a super-villian (they’re not making this up as they go along) and I can’t believe they didn’t pick him in the auditions to fill the role they needed to have.
Just so you don’t think those mutts were little yipping poodles, the two attack dogs literally dragged poor, sweet Lemuria back to the start.
Most of the guys are athletic, and their extra mass certainly helped them. Fat Momma’s mass, however, didn’t help. She lacked the strength, physically and mentally, to push through the dogs.
Monkey Woman was f’n impressive.
I was wondering what was up with Stan the Man when he didn’t eliminate Iron Enforcer, who had been called out for the third time and had the horrible 'roids answer. If I had been paying more attention to the entire show (rather than just Lemuria), I might have realized the fix was in.
I seriously dont get the drooling over Lemuria. Creature has a much more striking face even without the hair and a muuuuuch nicer body. Lemuria’s original costume was just a gold lame’ dancer outfit. Sure she looked like she might fall out at any moment, but with those less than ample boobs, would we really even notice? Her knew outfit is more in the spirit of the show.
After thinking it over, I think they scripted Iron Enforcer’s dive with the attack dogs. But CPG’s totally weak performance was a shoot, they couldn’t kick IE as planned when she did so terribly.
So they had to kick him in the costume challenge, where they set up Tyveculus. But this was also a setup for the other guys, since Feedback got called out for mocking him.
And I wouldn’t call Iron Enforcer or some other eliminated contestant returning as a supervillan a twist. More like boilerplate Stan Lee.
Lemuria: New Genesis goddess
Creature: Apokoliptian hell pit spawn
And that’s all there is to it.
Although, I do understand. You don’t want to compete against me for Lemuria’s loving, knowing you’d lose. You take the safe bet and hope for the best. Good for you, taking one for the team.
