Who wants to be the Dungeon Master?

Once upon a time, on a message board just like this one, but in a parallel universe or something… There was a thread, in which the posters were D&D characters, and someone was the dungeon master.

And it was funny as hell!

But, I can’t find it.

So, if somebody wanted to, they could volunteer to start a new one…

That sounds like fun.

As long as this isn’t a nerd trap…

If you need a DM, I can do it. OItherwise, I’m in as a player… what do we do, post a character sheet?

So, I guess nobody wants to entertain me.

Well, due to the traffic usually involved in such things, I believe the PTB discourage this type of thing here. There are plenty of other boards out there that support online RPG’s, but I don’t know much about them.

But for entertainment purposes…

A dwarf, a human and a gnome walk into a bar. The dwarf says “Ow! my nose!” The human says “Ow! My nuts!” The Gnome says “What bar?”

It was done in the style of the “new-ness” thread, not an actual RPG. I’m beginning to think I dreamed it.

:smack: More than likely, it probably started as a completely different thread, and then got hijacked into a D&D thread. That would explain why I can’t find it.

Well, if we’re talking about this in a loose, free-flowing style like “new-ness” has become, then sure…I’m down.

As I mentioned in that thread, however, you do not want me to be the DM. :slight_smile:

I cast magic missle at the darkness!

<snrk!>

So much for this not being a nerd trap…

Can I bring my changeling paladin with a pet good red dragon in from my little brother’s game? He’s only eleventy fifth level…

Which edition are you going to run? I won’t play in 2nd Edition because then fighters are screwed if they don’t have percentile strength, because then they’re completely screwed, and magic-users get screwed too at higher levels if they don’t have max intelligence, and there’s no point in playing a magic-user unless you can get level 9 spells, and you can’t get those without 18 intelligence, but fighters get screwed unless they have percentile strength, and they get screwed earlier in the game too, like at level 1, because a magic-user with a 17 intelligence won’t get too screwed until he gets to level 17, but a fighter with only a 17 strength gets screwed on every attack, because he doesn’t get the extra bonuses, so I won’t play in 2nd Edition. And d20 is also stupid because…

…oh, just fill in the rest. There’s that guy in every. single. goddamn. group.

I viciously attack the Gazebo with my +5 Sword of Hack-ness!

I made myself some Dungeon Master business cards in high school print shop. The guy running the press set one of the color plates wrong despite my careful layout, so I had to turn him into a floor tile.

i am galstaff, sorcerer of light!

Darkness: Owwwww, stop being a jerk.

WHERE ARE THE CHEEETOS?!

snrk

Since it’s doubtless been a while for some of us, I humbly submit 8 bit D&D.

Yamirskoonir, thank you. That was… dude.

::sniff::
That was awesome, man. :cool:

This one?
