Who's going to have a white Christmas?

My NJ backyard has about an inch right now. It started snowing about three hours ago and is still snowing. Very pretty even if the snow did push the power out for about ten minutes.

Far northern Vermont here - Champlain valley. Just got some snow yesterday and today, with a little more coming down right now. It was all stick season up here until these last few days. Nice to have enough white stuff to cover the ground for Christmas.

Not us, thank Og. It’s 70 wonderful degrees on my back porch right now. Lovin’ it!

Michigan here, we’ve gotten an inch or so over the last few hours. The roads were really iffy for a bit.

I’ve been in this neck of the woods for 27ish years and only recall one green Christmas: circa 2001 perhaps? It’s pretty much a given here.

We had a wintery mix here in mid-PA. But the ground is just barely covered.

Just a light frosting on the ground here in NE Ohio at the moment, but we’re under a winter storm watch through 7am Thursday, so anything could happen. Have a cool Yule!

I’m in the far northern suburbs of DC. We got about 2 inches of snow today. It’s wet snow, and if it warms up it will melt, but I expect there to be at least some remaining for much of tomorrow. This is the most snow that’s fallen here since just before Halloween, 2011.

We had a few pellets of slushy hail about an hour ago.
Which is about as close to a White Christmas as we get here post the breakup of Gondwanaland

Well I’m about as white as it gets, so yes.

Oh, erm. Well, no new snow. There’s patches left from a few inches earlier this week, though that doesn’t count as a ‘white Christmas’ as far as I’m concerned. It’ll be cold as warlock balls, though*!

I didn’t realize you were in for it until a friend on FB posted that she was getting her run in before the storm…I hope it doesn’t get too bad!

  • You Canad’juns shut it about the cold. It’s all relative

We got a light coating of snow late in the afternoon, but it’s supposed to get up to 35 tomorrow, so it will probably all go away. Then it’s supposed to snow Wednesday and Thursday.

Merry Christmas to you too.

It’s looking pretty good here in SE Michigan.

You’re just sensitive because you’re so goddamn cold. Relatively speaking.

Central NJ has a dusting of snow, maybe 1/2 inch. It’s sort of misting and sleeting now, though, so my guess it will be gone by morning.

My almost 3 yo granddaughter was here when it started and she was very excited about it. She says this means it’s really Christmas now, so can she start eating the cookies? (I have included cookies as tree decorations, and told her she has to wait until Christmas to pick and eat any.)

Couple inches on the ground just outside Lancaster, PA. I offically pronounce it a white Christmas, although it probably won’t make it through the whole day tomorrow.

Definitely white here in the UP. But that’s pretty much a given, this time of year. The weird thing would be to NOT have snow on Christmas.

We had a blizzard a few days ago (when I was trying to do my shopping, argh! Thank heavens and several 1960s engineers for the underground city) so we’ve got a white Christmas this year. As you can imagine we often do, but not always (I don’t think we did last year).

It’s kinda-sorta a little early for snow, but there was snow in today’s forecast. It changed to snow for tonight.

Right now it’s 37.3ºF according to a weather station nearby, and it’s snowing pretty well. Being so warm, it isn’t sticking; but it’s nice to see it coming down… and knowing I won’t have to drive in it!

I’m here in Dallas, and it started snowing while I was in the movies. So, it’s my very first white Christmas.
