Well, we did have a white Christmas, and then two days later we had the most snow in one day as far back as records have been kept: at least 45 cm (almost 18 inches) fell, exceeding the “Blizzard of the Century” in 1971.
Mom and I were out of town and flew back in the next day. Amazingly, most stuff is back up and running after all that. Sometimes your city and the folks who keep it running really impress you.
