I live a busy busy life. I’m working nearly full time (and sometimes more-so) as well as taking a full load at the local community college and I’m trying to just keep my motor running. I’ve got a never ending pile of laundry and today is the only morning I have free during the week.
Today I have to:
Return something to Walmart (I bought the wrong sized hubcaps)
Open a new account at a local credit union (yay!)
Spoil myself with lunch out
How about you guys, got anything you have to do today?
Unfortunately, for a Friday, yes. After work (and after I’ve brought home and consumed a nice hot coffee from Timmy’s) the wife and I have to vaccuum and steam clean our carpet, as well as straighten up and organize things around the house in preparation for guests tomorrow. Just a social thing, no big deal, but we’d like to present a moderately, slightly-better-than-man-clean house. I also have laundry to do. And shopping. Whatever’s left of the weekend though is mine.
Well, I only have to work an hour and a half today, so I’ll try to get things done so I can goof off all weekend.

[li]Go give a delinquent client the stink-eye[/li][li]Then find me a collections agency[/li][li]Get ice for the cooler[/li][li]Go grocery shopping[/li][li]Go set up an appointment to get those gauges put in my truck at the racing place[/li][li]Got out of a repair job, so not that, yay![/li][/ul]
Then I can either go hunting or go to Yosemite and take some pictures this weekend without anything hanging over my head.
Not sure why I still look forward to the weekends, as they are typically more chore filled than weekdays. Always having to catch up on various procurement type and house-cleaning type errands. Not to mention stuff I do for my elderly parents now that we live in the same town. I’ll be trimming back the jasmine on their pergola tomorrow, after I plant some flowers on their dog’s grave (that I dug last week).
At least M-F I have some down-time at the office to surf the dope
After work I have to pick up a prescription (and may stop by Wal*Mart, but that’s not a requirement). Tomorrow, if I get up in time I’ll go to the post office to check my mail, and mail a package. And also go to the dump/recycling.
Need to find a birthday present for a co-worker’s wife. She’s such a fun, flamboyant character that I really want to find something that suits her personality. Yet I can’t think of a thing except for a bracelet I saw that has a bunch of lampworked glass fruits on it but it’s more than I want to spend. Sigh…I can’t even decide what store to start looking at.
I also want to go look at the place I might be temping at in the next week or two. The area it’s in is very industrialized, meaning a whole lot of people have to get there every day, but the folks who run the bus service still seem to think the area is just beginning to wake out of its sleepy ruralness. Hence, the scheduling leaves much to be desired. The quickest way there also requires the longest walk, just over a mile. The other ways require transferring and a walk of a half mile or three quarters of a mile and I might not get there in time anyway. So, I thought I’d check it out while I have someone who can drive me there.
Otherwise, except for my co-worker’s wife’s birthday party tomorrow, my weekend is pretty open.
I’m:
getting a copy from the copy stop,
taking the copies to the bank to be notarized,
mailing a bithday present,
picking up tax forms,
returning library books,
then hanging out in ‘little India’ to look at material and buy stuff fron the Indian grocery.
