I also miss Twickster. My first dog was named partly for her. The dog was Quickster, as she was found by me in a Quik Shop parking lot.

I hope we can see you again. The dog that followed Quikster, Nathan, is gone too. Now I have Mauser, my third dachshund, a smooth coated brown dachshund. He was left at a shelter, at the age of five, and I have had him over five years now.

Hey wow, talk about a blast from the past. I’m doing some research on locked-in syndrome, googled Blinkie, and found myself here. All things considered, I’m doing pretty ok!
I’m very over SDMB. These message boards were a critical component of my journey, but the smug cliquey insularity became overwhelming. I peaced out years ago. Way too many judgmental fucks. Not to mention that giraffeboard roasting bullshittery. Must be nice to have that much time and spite on one’s hands, neh? Kinda hard to identify, my mom died from COVID and my dad subsequently ate a bullet. That was a fun day. I’m climbing my way out of a deep depressive valley, one day at a time. Drinking more than I should. Keeping the weight off, for the most part. I had some COVID regain, but then who didn’t? Divorced my husband awhile back. I’m presently working on my second foray into polyamory. Maybe I’ll stop by again in a few years, maybe not. Happy Easter. Ta!

I pinged him in 2021 when he hadn’t started his annual TdF thread, and he said he was finding himself getting irritated too often on the board. But he agreed to come back for the Tour and try to limit his participation in other threads.
I saw him arguing with someone later that fall, so I’m not surprised he decided to quit again. He was a good guy and I miss his contributions.
So does anyone know what happened to @robardin; it seems like he just quietly left.
