I met this guy at a party. He was great. I was dating someone else. I had a “boyfriend”. Let me just say, I am so glad Suburban Plankton decided to seek me out in person anyway. We’ve been married now for nearly 12 years.

Don’t try to be her boyfriend. Just be her friend for now. If it’s meant to be, it will happen naturally.

gratuitous hi-jack based on sig : So that’s what that whole “Sorrow floats” / stuffed dog thing in the John Irving book was all about ! So I had to wait, what, 20 years to catch that ? I think I need to take my brain in for a tune-up.
As for the OP - I have to go along with JC of Mars, insecurity is grossly overrated as a mate-catching strategy. If you think she’s for you, jump in there and make a mess ! See where it goes. (Assuming she’s not married to your brother or something, that might require a little more introspection)

I think in general, the cool (good looking) chicks are NEVER single… they ALWAYS have a b/f… cuz when they decide things are not working out… they go looking for a replacement… and then BOOM. New b/f. No single-life lag.

And by the looks of it, you may be next in-line for a b/f promotion. :cool:
