Why can't I connect to Facebook?

This may have a factual answer and belong in general Questions, however there may be multiple answers to this, so let’s start here.

When I attempt to connect to Facebook I get a message stating “The connection has timed out.”

This has never happened before. I don’t have any problems connecting to anything else.

I downloaded Malware Bytes and it discovered and quarantined 8 things, yet I still can’t figure out why I can’t connect to Facebook.

Thoughts?

I’ve been having a few problems today too. It wouldn’t load any new feeds for me and after about 10 items it said I needed to find more friends. Might be something on their end.
