Furthermore, when entering a topic, click or tap the post count or last post date to enter it at the end.

Clicking or tapping the post title wil always take you to your last read position in the topic. If you do not have a read position, then you will enter at the top.
Another protip, adding last to the end of the URL (replacing the reply number) will also take you to the last post

On a laptop the “end” button takes you to the very end of the page, and “home” takes you to the very beginning.
