Why Do I Love These Commercials?

I love those Holiday Inn Commercials with the slacker dude who used to live at home and now they have him staying at a Holiday Inn. I don’t know why though, that guy just cracks me up.

“It’s my new book. It’s called When the Wheels Come Off.”
“Oh is it some sort of self-help book, get yourself back on your feet …”
“No, it’s about a bike…Do you know anyone who can draw?”

Well, I still like the Wassabbi commercial. I don’t know why. I guess I just like the look on the guy’s face when the SO slams the table to make them all stop.

I love 'em too.

“I can’t work up there…I just, I get in the room and zzt, I’m out…”

I also love the new series of Beck’s Beer ads with Germans assimilating to American culture. The German basketball team being my favorite:

“I hope you brought a backpack to ze game…because I em going to take you to schoooool”

bwwahahaha

The ones that never seem to get old for me are the Nike Basketball ones. I think alot of people are probably getting annoyed by them at this point, but I still think they are pretty sweet. Lets face it, a basketball commercial glamorizing something other than a dunk? Thats bold!

Now I could however go to the other end of the spectrum and start in on the Amstel Light commercials, but thats another thread.

Theres a new commercial on recently that really like too, its the Reebok commercial with the fat guy in the sumo outfit dancing to “The Bird”. I belly laugh for hours when that sucker comes on.

I don’t watch too much TV, so it’s possible that this ad has been around for months and months, but I saw it for the first time last night…

The commercial for Voicestream Wireless (I think) with three bikini-clad bimbos at the beach… one girl has an octopus stuck to her face and her two “friends” are arguing about which of them is going to use their precious minutes to call for help. The way Jamie Lee Curtis pops into the scene and blatantly makes fun of them is so hilarious. And the fact that the plan is called something that would really work with a Valley-girl accent, like the “Whenever” plan… I was actually hoping that I’d see the commercial again.

Ha!

I love then new AFLAC commercial, with the duck in the roller coaster. While everyone else screams, the duck yells, “AAAAAAAAFLAAAAAAC!!!”

Yup, I’m easily amused.
