Indeed, to me that is most definitely not how real friendships work.
that’s pretty interesting. In my experience, it’s the older dudes who make an effort to DIY just about everything (even when they probably shouldn’t), while it’s the younger generation who are often too busy with kids, work, etc. to do so, and instead find professional help.
I’m all for tootin’ your own horn, @HoneyBadgerDC, when deserved.
But if you come off to these people as Mr. Know-it-all, you’ll not be welcomed.
In fact, people will actively avoid you.
