The board has been unreachable all day, at least since I woke up (around 12pm EDT). What happened?

Yea it was horrible. It gave me time to reflect on my social life.
But now you’re back. I take it your reflection didn’t reveal what you’d hoped it would.
A hardware problem that occurred on the primary database server a few days ago finally brought everything to a screeching halt this morning. We believe we have things temporarily fixed on that database server and are scheduling a replacement of one of the cluster server nodes on December 29th at 11 PM MST.
Sorry, I thought I was unplugging the vacuum cleaner!
I just assumed there was a mass hamster-suicide. When are you going to upgrade to weasels? When they make suicide pacts they always weasel out of them.

Me too. Seriously. Well, I wasn’t reflecting on your social life as much as mine, and not social life as much as life in general, and the possibility that if I were living it properly I wouldn’t be checking to see if the board’s back up quite so often.
