Ex-Protestant, now LDS (after having been raised anti-faith), and I love this joke.
The good news: we have about five to nine months to prepare.
The bad news: DH is facing layoff in that time frame, and I’ve been full-time at home for some time now.
I am not even going to try to guess, but…congratulations!
I hope it’s something good
DH doesn’t have to wait to be laid off; start lookin’ NOW
Edit…wait, I am a moron. He’s being laid off within 5-9 months, doh. I thought maybe there was a baby or somewhat on the way. /facepalm
So no congratulations, but good luck wishes instead
Sorry, but the two pieces of news are the same event.
I’m working on getting him in job-hunt gear, and I’ll be looking. That way, I have a few months to do things like pay down credit cards and build some reserves before his job runs out.
We had soft tacos from the pork…round thing, like a roast but round…that I grilled a couple of dyas ago, salsas, green onions, some cheese and stuff.
Mrs. Plant v.3.0 said, “This is almost as good as eating in Mexico.”
I finished saving the inter-tubes at work. HP made me go through the console and email them stuff to replace their forever warranted switches.
How are you doing, Anyrose?
Appreciate the good wishes, amused by the misunderstanding.
Howdy, Tummy full, eyelids heavy and tomorrow is finally Friday. TGIF tomorrow.
Rough day today. Flu shot made me tired and sleepy and i had it on Monday.
Rosie’s sig.
Just dropping in to announce that Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts are great. They’re a limited edition flavor for the Halloween season. So buy a box or two now while you can.
I…you…Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts?
Oye.
irked, shopped, came home. Jambalaya is cooking.
{{{{Seanette}}}} although the “bundle of joy” was the first thing that popped into my head, too.
Giggity, LOL!
I knew I liked you for a reason. How ya doin’?
FCM, yay for new counters!
I keep reading that as ‘Pumpkin Pie Farts’. /facepalm
I really should just not read anymore today, lol
Puppy is cleaner; still smells like dog, but more like clean black and white dog and less like dusty/dirty greyish dog, hehe.
I will spare you all from my whining tonight and just say BLURF.
Started rice for dinner. I’m trying to decide if I want to have a shower while it cooks or be good and fold the clean laundry. They’re currently in baskets half-blocking the exit.
Dinner will be stir-fry and I need to cut stuff up for that. And put away the clean dishes from the other night.
I have to print out all the bookmarks tonight so I can take them to my parents’ house tomorrow to use their paper cutter / have company while I finish them.
What’s an MMP?
Monday Morning Post, the place for things too mundane for MPSIMS. Here’s the MMP FAQ
Welcome, April! We need a nickname for you.
I already got one…see this thread
Just call me April ‘Mother-Filter’ R
Or Apes, that works too.
To add to this thread, I am currently battling a 4 week long UTI. The first 10 day bout of antibiotics didn’t work, so now I am on a 7 day treatment. I have gotten 2-3 UTIs a year since I was 12. So it’s pretty mundane…and sucks big time. It especially sucks on a day like today when I had to travel for work to meet with a client and had to take more potty breaks than usual. Adds a good 30 min to my normal travel time ERGH!
You might want to consider some cranberry in your diet. You can get it in tablet/capsule form if you’re like me and can’t stand the taste.
I’m 43 and most likely infertile, so I think we can rule out the “bundle of joy”.
You mean there’s not really a stork?:eek::eek::eek:*
April, Apes works. And one friend of mine uses “Oh, skittles” in front of her kids.

Cranberry actually irritates me more. I have some scar tissue from a severe kidney infection when I was 12 and super acidic food or drink aggravates it. I also think I am more prone to getting a UTI because of that initial kidney infection. But this is getting a little TMI and grody so I’ll stop talking about it,
