I can’t understand how some men could possibly be as terrible as they are. Honestly, sometimes it makes me ashamed to be male. The worst thing is that there are so many guys like this, and whether they’re just manipulative or whether they’re rapist scum they’re the same people, and they’re everywhere.

BTW, kudos. You’re a great roommate and your roommate is a great sibling. Best of luck and here’s hoping the prick learns the true meaning of “stop” and “no” while serving hard time. I hear rapists get it the worst.

FWIW, life seems to run in cycles. You get your bad years, or even your bad decades, but everything comes around and gets better eventually.

I agree. There are times when violence is not the answer, but if you’re being assaulted then violence is certainly the goddamn answer.

Rashak Mani- let me bet you that this girl never, ever wants to see this guy again and that if she does run into him again she’ll feel physically ill and scared rather than overcome with lust.

If there was “too much” drinking, it doesn’t seem to have removed her ability to know when someone was trying to overstep their boundaries in quite the same way it removed that asshole’s ability to act like a civilised human being.

This is so common in the SMDB I don’t even bother usually to respond… I didn’t mean to say she was wrong or stuff like that.

• Well as for the excessive drinking I meant her male friend. (She certainly managed to escape) Even if she was piss drunk it wouldn’t justify.

• I sure hope she doesn’t go back… but I’ve seen women go back. Its wierd. I just had that impression… and didn’t mind posting it. It will be complicated if when this guy gets out of jail or whatever if they live near one another.

• As for the roleplaying I mentioned it because a guy might have to get very rough to manage anything. Just holding down the girl isn’t enough. Still to get away would be hard. That is why I thaught my GFs some simple judo moves that might get them away from someone doing exactly what the OP mentioned.

• Actually I’m far from being macho minded thanks.

I call it self defense… especially if you do enough to get away. To shoot the guy LATER… that is violence and solves nothing. You’ll have the guy’s family doing target practice on you.

Said shithead pled guilty this week just before his trial was about to commence and is Going. To. Jail.

We see lots of bitching when the criminal justice system fucks up, so I thought I’d share my small, joyous example of justice being served properly. (And, as a bonus, it was served without my friend’s sister having to testify in open court)

My roommate was saying to me that he thinks she’s mad at him because he’s not angry enough. He’s a big, menacing looking guy and you’d think he’d be the type to freak out, but he’s not. He’s measured and doesn’t have much of a temper at all.

Sorry to be months late in saying this, but ‘big mencacing looking guys’ who are good people hold back a great deal just because they don’t want to be pegged as a ‘menace’. Similar to the red race car which looks like it’s going a hunnert miles an hour when it’s sitting still, the ‘big’ man looks like Billy Bad-ass even when he’s not (my hubby is subject to this kind of stereotype daily). Your room-mate did well, very well (as you did too). Glad to hear the dude is going to do time for his crime.
