Why won’t he call me?
The phone was supposed to ring two days ago.
Supposed to.
But what do I hear?
Silence.
I’m going to rip my hair out.
Life is so frustrating.
I’ll swap you a phone that wont stop ringing for your silence.

Of course all my calls are work related and not fun at all.
Hope he calls soon.
He probably won’t.
And by the time he cares enough to remember that he was supposed to call me, I’ll be bald and hideous.
Why don’t you pick up the phone? If you think this guy might be worth it then what can it hurt? You don’t want a game-player, do you?

It’s always been a pet peeve of mine when someone says they’d do something but end up not doing it.
Doesn’t matter to me whether it’s intentional or not. I just hate it when stuff like this happens.
And I did phone him earlier today.
His roommate picked up.
He was at work.

I have had to adopt a whole new attitude towards getting phone calls from the lady I am now “seeing”. She started this relationship with those magic words “no commitment”, and I agreed.
To her this means that even if she says she’ll call, if she doesn’t feel like it, she won’t call. This is okay with me, but for some reason I don’t get the same privilege. She gets pissed if she doesn’t hear from me and I have to remind her of those “magic words”. Ah, “Love in the Autumn Years of Life”!

hes just screwing with you to give the impression he is not desperate. men (and women) do shit like that, don’t take it personally. If he didn’t like you he wouldn’t do something like this. ah the joys of dating mind games.
Or maybe just maybe, he got busy and forgot? I love it how people automatically assume the worst… This is why I rarely promise I’ll call unless I know I can call… I had an ex who would constantly assume the worst even if it was something as minor as I was 5 minutes late leaving work and missed the train… Sheesh…
The only thing worse than waiting by the phone for someone to call and not have it ring, is for everyone else except the one person you want to hear from to call. This has happened to me before. One night I was waiting for a call from my girlfriend at the time. All of my friends and their friends seemed to be calling me that night. I tried to make their conversations as brief as possible, since while I was on the phone with them I was worried that my girlfriend would be calling at that time, only to get a busy signal. I was quite insecure and I worried that she may not try again. Back in the pre-caller ID days it was very disheartening to pick up the phone, only to get someone else’s voice, the worst of these being a damn telemarketer (grrr!) :mad: .
or maybe, just maybe, since it takes almost 25 seconds to call soemone and say ‘hi, i just called because you wanted me to but i am too busy to talk right now and am just calling to say hello, i will talk to you later’ he is pretending he has forgotten to string her along. Its not unnatural, people try to fake like they aren’t desperate all the time in the dating world.
