But he’s FAMOUS!!!
Why? It’s arguably more entertaining.
Unquestionably more entertaining than Baseball.
You’re right, ugh. I was soooo wrong on that.
I heard he was paroled. Now we’ll have the never-ending interviews. It got so bad tonight, our local NBC affiliate ran a ~3 minute story about that goddamn Bronco (where’s the throw-up smiley?).
That is hilarious! Best letter to the editor ever, IMHO.
The slowwwwww-mo Bronco “chase” was just as slow as the coverage before the hearing.
Yes, before… hours before.
I was a captive audience, out to breakfast at a greasy spoon that had some two-bit “HLN Network” on, and there was nothing except OJ conjecture from 6 am on…
Yeah I saw that too and was it the first story on the news ! We had a 'shelter in place ’ in my city yesterday b/c there an arm suspect on the run and there was no update on this today , it showed the story of goddamn Bronco instead ! :smack:
The news is becoming a reality show and I hate reality shows .
Poor guy hit on hard times, so I let him stay in my guest house.
…I’m pretty sure he stole my gloves. They didn’t fit so well, so I don’t care.
My Pollyanna-ish wish is that O.J. would just admit he killed his wife and Ron Goldman and aologize profusely for it. I dont think he could be sent to prison for admitting that and it could give people, notably the Goldmans, the Browns, and even O.J. himself, some closure. It’s the only thing that could come close to making this horrible situation even a little bit better.
Somehow I don’t think that is ever going to happen.

Ex-wife. They were no longer married.

Didn’t the jerk “accudentally” admit it in some book?
In CA, there is no statute of limitations for murder, so a confession is as good as a jail sentence no matter when made.
Obviously the answer is we don’t need it. But then that’s true of 90% of live news stories where we see reporters milling around filming some obscure DA making an obscure announcement about an obscure criminal case or journalists sent halfway across the country to be filmed in the street outside some building or other speculating what may or may not be going on inside.
This is par for the course and here at least the viewer gets to see what’s happening. It’s newsworthy in the sense that many people are interested in him so I’m going to give the media a pass on this one.
You’re forgetting that he was aquitted, so he cannot be found guilty and incarcerated for that crime.
We watched at work, mostly to point and laugh.
There was a chain of dollar stores (since closed) called Yankee One Dollar in upstate New York. They had for sale, as late as their closing in 2014, tons of copies of I Want to Tell You in audiobook form on cassette, which was published in 1995. I wonder if they ever sold a single copy.
:smack:
Er, yes. That’s what I meant.
:smack:
But, what if he does confess? Does that throw out the jury verdict?
No. Acquittal is forever.
Maybe the gators will get him. Hope springs eternal.
I’d like to know who they are. They sure didn’t exist in 1995, except by force because it was wall-to-wall coverage on all 3 major networks. At least he can’t take over the Internet (or could he?).
When I heard about the Oklahoma City bombing, my first thought was, “How long will this knock OJ off the top of the news?”
Two days.
