Why was Wildest Bill banned?

Guinastasia:
I’m not sure if you are replying to my post (won’t that be embarrasing like waving back to someone you half-know just to realize that they are waving to someone behind you), but if you are, I don’t mean you. I said that he was sometimes funny and sometimes endearing. But he was still a fucking troll.

I’m just sick of the defense “Is that all he did? You mean he got banned just because he posted 14 links to a bomb-making site and posted racist threads in Comments on Staff Columns and MPSIMS and had 6 socks which he used to engage in a lively 7 page debate about some obscure Terra Haute, Indiana band that nobody else except he had heard and he submitted TubaDiva’s email address to a notorious pedophilic shoe fetish “Do you have bad credit?” mailing list and he personally came to my house and whipped my invalid 4 year old nephew with a live frayed electrical cord? I thought you could only get banned for garroting John Corrado.” For 98% of the board, I’ll wager, it was clear that he was a troll and a jerk.

It is just that sometimes people have skewed opinions about what constitutes a benefit to the boards. In real non-sitcom life, people who cause you to rip your hair out or to beat a phosphorescent screen until your palms are bloody are not endearing or funny to have around. Those people are trolls.

That reminds me - a few days back, before the banning, someone in chat pointed out that the newest member was “Not So Wild Bill.” NOTE: There is no evidence whatsoever that this new poster is breaking any rules whatsoever. I just happened to remember it.

Personally, I think “Mildly Wild Bill” would be a good name.

How about Mildest Bill?

Can I get a side of sour cream with that?

Well, if he’s going to be a lingering ache how about
“Overdue Bill?”

Grassy knoll, gobear, grassy knoll. I think they were two different people, both hired by the Cuban Mafia to take out the only thing standing between Miami and a small island of bucolic sugar canes and wretched excess.

But, I digress. Hand me my meerschaum pipe, will you? There’s a good lad… What a tale to tell.

Well, I just saw Red Dragon posting over in GQ.

So maybe he wasn’t banned after all. Or are there two Red Dragons?

I heard red dragon60 got too frisky with some Carbon orbitals, and was only allowed back in after saying pretty please (with a cherry) and promising never to do it again.
-His banning, if that’s what it was, seemed to last only a few hours

I still maintain that Wildest Bill was a genius and a humorist of the highest order.

There were a few moments, especially in the past month, where he began to drop his guard. The moderators obviously began to see through the nearly impenetrable veil of false ignorance and dropped the boom on him.

And in the end, Wildest Bill had a Texas funeral: he was given an enema, and buried in a shoe box.

Now he can go back to running the country.

Watch out for Wildassed Bill

No, not at all. I agree with you 100 percent. He WAS a troll-whether it was intentional or not, I don’t know. But he was a troll. Personally, I think he believed that he wasn’t, that it was different with HIM, just like certain laws shouldn’t apply to HIM. Or what have you.

Yeah, I think he’s funny. Yeah, I’ll kinda miss arguing with him. But do I want him back? No, absolutely not.

I didn’t know he’d been banned. I always miss things like this…

I just hope he gets to yell “Gotcha Ya!” before they lower him in the ground.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought he was Dubya.
