I recently got a new desktop machine with Windows 10 on it (was using Windows 7 on my old one) and now, no matter how many times I tell SDMB to remember my username and password, it refuses to do it. I always get the blank Username and Password fields. It will remember if I click in the field, but I have to do this nearly every time I access the Dope, as opposed to before, when I was just logged in by default.
Meanwhile, I also got a new laptop (also with Win10) a couple of weeks later, and it remembers my credentials just fine after typing them in once.
Anyone have any idea why one Win10 machine refuses to remember, while the other one has no problem? In both cases I’m using Google Chrome as my browser, if that matters. I’m wondering if there’s some deeply-buried setting that the desktop and the laptop set differently by default.
