I did not intend to, nor have I made this thread about me. It started with some comments I made to Ben. Had oldscratch made the same, or several other posters here who make that kind of comment occasionally, none of this would have happened. Again, you are attributing to me things that are not there.

No, that is not the reason, in many cases. Many debates have degenerated into free-for-all shit fests. I repeat- I have used reason, and by your arguments, you often have not, in your responses to me. These latest are simply more tangential, putting-words-in-my-mouth-and-thoughts-in-my-head examples. Although you are right- many times it is about having someone disagree with you rationally. I like that, when it happens. I have not seen this done with me here. I don’t whine, I don’t care, in my opinion, I have given better than I recieved. I have not had to resort to made-up shit once so far. If I have been mean, well, by the totally made-up shit that’s been thrown at me, ya’ll had it coming.

One more fucking time reprise- I did not taunt, challenge, tease or in any way dare any fucking mod or any fucking admin to ban me. I invited Lynn to do so if she felt she had to, as I was not backing down from my position. I didn’t make my remarks lightly, and fully intended to eviscerate Ben if he continued to be such an ass. I realized that this was unpleasant, and wasn’t going to change my stance jsut to make pretty. Therefore, I was letting Lynn know, and that if she thought it better to ban me, well, I understood her position. No hard feelings on my part.
That was respect, and frankly, I’m not suprised you have two or three times now completely mis-understood what it was. Despite my best efforts to show you. -

Just in case you weren’t paying attention inor, I have already beseeched Ben to ask the mods to close this thread.
Someone has to end this - it obviously isn’t going to be Ben and it isn’t going to be you : you’re both going to force the admins to make a call.
And, as usual when the admins are forced to make such calls, we will all be the poorer for your absences.

You and Ben are both big enough people to sort this out like adults - if you aren’t that bigger people, then you don’t deserve to be SDMB members anyway.

I don’t need you to give me the benefit of the doubt. In this community of 12,000 plus members many of us are confronted daily by viewpoints we don’t endorse. We stay here because even the vast majority of SD members who don’t agree with our viewpoints are at least interested in finding out what we believe and why.
Shit - I don’t rely on either the mods or the admins to protect me when someone calls me a “drunken, clit licking, never had a decent fuck in her life cunt”. Or on the other hand when they call me a “cocksucking bitch”.
I have probably offended the mods/admins on this board far more in my short time than you ever, but at least I have thte guts to front the people I offend…

Why on earth would I get banned? I wrote a single, rather mild post pointing out the hypocrisy of Inor’s position. For that, you feel the need to remind me that I’m not a little boy anymore?
If I might make one final comment:
Inor, you don’t seem to understand how grave your offense was. The rules of this list forbid the making of violent threats. When you registered, you gave a Yahoo email address. When you signed up with Yahoo email, you agreed to terms of service which stated:
"You agree to not use the Service to:
a. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; "
Moreover, you have, with your threats, broken the law, and I would be entirely within my rights to call the police and have you arrested.
You might want to think about that, the next time you threaten someone.

I’m locking this thread, as per the OP’s request. I’m passing the buck up to TubaDiva, as I’m not sure that I can make a clear decision on this. The only reason I’m not making a decision as to whether or not to ban inor is because I’ve had a massive dose of Nyquil, and I don’t think that I should be Banning Under the Influence.
