Swampy - glad you’re all ok. I do not care for tornadoes, no sir.
Nettie - feel better.
I report to you that it was 24 degrees Amurkin when I got up. Why that’s almost mid-western! Snow showers in the area, and snow due tomorrow, but clear and sunny at my house. 'Beamer went to school in shorts and a sweatshirt. I suspect he may soon learn that you cannot learn the weather just by looking out the window. Mom’s advice (or the weatherman’s) might also be helpful.
Stuff to do. Not sure what to tackle first. I believe I will surf the Intertoobz whilst I decide.
Shorts and a sweatshirt?? That’s the kind of attire that has always confused me - like people who wear flip-flops and shorts with a hoodie and gloves, or long pants, boots, and tank top.
Pick a season!!! <grumble grumble>
Now that lunch is about done, I guess I need to track down the boss and see what I need to be doing.
Swampy, glad the bad weather wasn’t worse; tornadoes are no fun and they are unpredictable where they will land.
62F here, my heating bill appreciates the weather, but the forecast is that it’s all downhill from here, with chance of snow/ice this weekend. Had a couple homemade BLT’s for launch and need to get the 2016 paperwork filed and the 2017 file box set up.
I had to go across the street and pay for two TV’s for the bowling center and decided to go to Walgreens for a couple things I needed. Well, I forgot my ID and had to leave my Driver’s License at the gate and take ID back up there to retrieve the DL. Such a pain to remember to grab ID out of the computer.
I am a little bit puny, just not feeling well. I hope I am not coming down with airplane crud.
Back at irk today, mostly doing busyirk. I’ll go to the pharmacy to pick up the stuff they were out of stock of this afternoon. Since it was already in the chute, it will go on 2016’s deductible, so no charge.
I got the updated list of meet up groups for the year in my email today and decided to check out a couple of new (to me) ones that are now close to home.
**Butters **- we’d get in all kinds of troubles with Security and our boss-folk if we left our CAC in our computers. Not to mention the risk of smart-ass coworkers taking advantage of a computer logged in under someone else’s name…
**BBBobbio **posted on FB earlier today - so he’s just ignoring us.
Speaking of rug rats, I have just had a fun discussion with mine wherein I explained that his continued allowance was dependent on his actually completing his work for school. He has decided that one class was too much work, so he just stopped doing it: several weeks ago. He has three weeks to go, and I’ve informed him he will be doing the work. Doors were slammed. Being a parent is fun!
doggio, that looks like I65/I24/I40 around Nashville after about an inch of the white stuff.
I stopped for prescriptions after irk. I only brought one of the three home. Apparently, the benefits folks at irk didn’t complete everything that they should have and my new card came up invalid. They checked with the medical provider and said that I was covered, but because the card didn’t show up as valid, I would have to pay full price for the two that didn’t get in under the wire. After speaking to the call center, I now have to go to HR in the morning. Joy! This needs to be resolved soon, because, you know, old people drugs.
It was 32 Murikin this morning when I woke up. It’s 30 now, but at least it’s not snowing.
Today is 10% off day at Fred Meyers if you’re an Olde Phart, which I am. I got ~$3 and some change off my purchases today. There’s gotta be some percs for getting old, dammit!
I went back and skimmed to see who was feeling poorly, but I have the short term memory of a gold fish, so I hope you feel better Sunny & Nettie
(and anybody else who’s a sickie.)
I think Bobbio is hidin’ cause he’s embarrassed that his candidate turned out to be such a jerk. Well, it’s a workable theory, anyway.
Dinner tonight is leftovers, 'cause all of our tupperware containers are full of stuff.
