Windows Favorites Folders Question

I’m wanting to sort my growing collection of websites into my Favorites folders, so I click on Start<Documents<Favorites(star icon) as I’ve done in the past to sort through them. The screen is C:\Documents and Settings…\My Documents\Favorites.

When I click on the Favorites at the top of my Windows screen, it displays all of my current Favorites including about 5 main folders. However, when I click on Favorites as above, it displays only one of my Favorites folders and it’s a subfolder, not even one of the main folders, along with a Links folder.

Why doesn’t the Favorites per above process match the Favorites in my Windows tab?

Windows keeps up with Favorites the same way it keeps up with your Start Menu: There are the things that are your Favorites, linked to your user name, and the things that are everyone’s Favorites, which are in a different place so everyone can see them.

What version of Windows are you using?

XP

I think in the past I’ve right-clicked on the Windows Favorites folder, selected Open, and sorted there.

Is this of any help at all?
