Ahh, Willy, really, you have a good idea. But, your timing sucks.

A few months ago, with about 500 posts under my belt, I started a rather-public net.relationship with a fellow Doper (check my sig). In a thread I started asking for advice on finding cheap international airfare to visit the aforementioned Doper, someone suggested everyone chipping in a dollar or two to send to me. AFAIK, no one did, and I certainly didn’t want it (need, that’s another question…). It didn’t happen, but no one jumped down his throat like people are and will do to you.

So, hang out here for a bit, get to know us, let us get to know you. Then, get involved with a Doper not of your continent, and see if anyone proposes chipping in a dollar to your cause.

Mully, thanks… but, it’s all taken care of. I scraped up the funds and bought my ticket. I’m leaving three weeks from Friday night (on 17 Nov), and I’ll be there a week.

If (and when, hopefully) a “Help pay for Montfort and Anniz’s honeymoon” thread starts, I’ll remember your offer, though. :slight_smile:
