I noticed that OfficeGirl had shaved her head, and I had mine shaved for just about a year… any others of the female sort out there shaved your head?

I had enough trouble when I had a skater-cut in high school; you’d figure guys could tell you were female when you were 34D. But I was always called “sir”…

No, but I did cut to about a half inch just before basic training. I loved it, my recruiter thought it was sensible, the drill sergeants were not amused.

Never, never. I’ve been growing my hair for about 6 years. It’s currently 18 inches (I measured it just for this thread). Would be longer, but I agreed to hack off several inches for my sister’s wedding.
I would love to- will someday…right now mines down halfway to my butt, so I guess I’ll wait a bit 
And if you haven’t seen OfficeGrl’s pics of her shaved head, take a look. She looks absolutely beautiful without hair. She is a lucky girl- definately pretty enough to pull it off…

Actually, it wasn’t entirely shaved … though most military males have more hair than I did. At the longest point, it was maybe half an inch long, and just gone everywhere else. I think it would have shocked the hell out of most of my high school, except for the fact that my best friend at the time had a foot long electric blue mohawk.
Getting mistaken for a man wasn’t a problem. I just looked weird.
After that point, I let it grow and grow and was terrified to have it cut. When I finally gave in, my hair was so long that I was sitting on it and they cut off over 16 inches of hair.

I LOVED having my head shaved. I kept it that way for a year, and chances are I’ll do it again before I die.

My GF, rugby chick that she is, has a very short cut at the moment; it’s only slightly longer than my own crew cut. Even the most nearsighted fool couldn’t mistake her for a man, but at least once in my presence she was referred to as “that stupid dyke.” (That loudmouth spent the next six hours in the emergency room. Did I mention that I have a short temper?)
Opal, and any other girls who shaved their heads, I’m interested in knowing if you felt somewhat aroused when people touched your head when it was bald.

I think Elizabeth I had the right idea–shave your head and get a different wig for every day of the week. How simple, and you could have a blonde beehive one day and a red ponytail the next! No bad hair days–just keep an extra wig in your desk drawer at work!

you are locked in a passionate embrace with your new lover, in his excitement, he grabs your flowing locks to pull you to him closer…the hair comes off in his hands- the trauma leaves him impotentent for years.
the moral of this tale is to warn your man if you have a wig on…

Did any of the rest of you who shaved their heads have weeks of discomfort as the hair grew out and was prickly to sleep on? I looked like the human kiwi fruit.
Now, I just lose my hair when I have to be nuked
I never found it arousing, but man, I couldn’t stop rubbing my head … it is like some people biting their nails… the urge was too strong to resist.
It was fun though, how so many people you’d never expect would ask to touch your head. I had LITTLE OLD LADIES in grocery stores come up and ask to feel my head. It was weird (in a cool way).
When my hair grew back it was kinda irritating, yeah.

I shaved a circle on the top of my head. The rest of my hair is waist length. Its started to grow out and is about 6" long where I shaved it.
