I think it may have something to do with how ‘sensitive’ ones cervix is as well. haven’t any experience with abnormally large penises, though I’ve never measured I think all of my partners fall into a fairly average 5-7" range, but painful contact with my cervix has always been a problem for me. It often hurts enough that I will make him stop and change to more favorable position.
