First and only thing I thought of
Finished tonight and hoping for an S2.
Did raise a surprised eyebrow that his former girlfriend’s acting gig was a small part on … Severance? With love expedient the show. Kudos to Disney for giving the Apple show a shoutout. Not the cross product placement I’d have expected.
Once I realized what they were doing I liked it very much. I appreciate that Marvel is using the TV shows to experiment with the superhero genre.
Well good news! Wonder Man Season 2
I’m pleasantly surprised. I loved the show, but I wasn’t very optimistic about the chances for more.
I was optimistic, given the overwhelmingly positive response.
This isn’t the 1990s Fox network, where they take a popular and beloved show and cancel it after a ratings dip because they keep screwing up the scheduling and/or promotions for it. This is Disney, where they will milk everything for all its worth (especially in the Marvel/Star Wars franchises).
I’m cautiously optimistic?
He has had his huge power up, psychologically with control over his superpower as a result. Trevor has had his growth too. Now them … on the run? As a hero and sidekick? Trying to fight the Doorman clause?
Yeah, I’m curious if they’re going to be able to continue the Hollywood parody aspect of the first season, now that both of them are, presumably, wanted terrorists.
Realistically he should be a wanted man with Slattery as everything he did was extremely obvious in retrospect and he’d be identified instantly. That would take a lot out of the show though.
I still find it a bit unsettling that Trevor Slattery’s IMDb is remarkably similar to Ben Kingsley’s.
