Woo Hoo -- The 5.6.7.8.s!

“Kill Bill” was on the other night, and it reminded me that I had been meaning to check out The 5.6.7.8.s, the Japanese girl band, playing 50’s style rave rock in the club where Uma takes on Lucy. I could use some help from the TM though.

Those Vonage ads have made “Woo Hoo” famous, but what’s the song they sing right before that (in the movie)? The only “words” (such as they are) that I can make out are “doobie, doobie”.

What album should I get first? “Rock the Twist” looks good, or they have several greatest hits compilations. What about the “Kill Bill” soundtrack. Is that worth owning? Generally speaking I’m not a fan of either soundtracks or compilations, but I can make exceptions.

I believe the song to which you refer is “I’m Blue”, available from Amazon as a CD-single. Doesn’t look like it’s on the soundtrack, though “Woo Hoo” is.

I’m afraid I don’t know anything at all about their catalogue, but it may interest you to know their music performances from the film are given a special highlight on the DVD (you can watch them perform the whole songs, rather than catch bits and pieces through the action of the scene).

Of course, by “Rock the Twist”, I meant “Bomb the Twist”. Um … it was a typo. :smack:
