The “not saying Merry Christmas” was a myth perpetuated by the people who would get the most benefit by riling up the portion of the population that would be most offended by that.
There was also a blizzard this week. Seahawks won the Super Bowl (just kidding, it was some other team) in a very mediocre game. American Idol is apparently still stupidly popular. No cute young white women have been prominently murdered or gone missing for more than three months afaict. Tom DeLay had to resign his role as Speaker of the House. Jack Abramoff (sp?), a very powerful and apparently very corrupt lobbyist threatens the status quo in Congress.
