I just took over as team leader on a 20 million dollar product changeover for a company that is contracting us called Verizon Wireless. Its the new name of the recently merged companies GTE and Bell Atlantic.
All customer contact will be handled via the Internet and so I was just told that my request for a personal T-1 line is approved.

I get a T-1 full load running to my desk at work…no monitoring it, no requirements…just a T-1, straight out…all for me!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I wonder how many ways I can abuse this baby!!! They install in the next couple weeks!!!

Actually, DT is rumored to be courting Voicestream, the combination of Omnipoint, Western Wireless’ digital operations and a couple of other GSM providers. Verizon is a TDMA/AMPS guy.

But they probably won’t actually acquire VSTR anyway. I swear, DT is like the guy who goes on a million dates and can’t get laid. Must have a bad rap or something.
