Work Like a Dog-A Mundane Mutt Post

Why have we been so un-talkative this week? Page 4 on Friday? That’s shameful!

Good thoughts for your director’s sister, rosie.

All this kitten talk makes me want one! I don’t really because Lily’s so much happier being an only cat. And it is less work. But… kittens are just so darned cute!!

I have aibohphobia, the fear of palindromes.

I’ll e-mail you one tonight. At a day old, they’ll still fit in the CD drive…

What are you going to do if a candidate twitches her butt at you?

He’s only in trouble if she shimmies…

I want pics of the kitties! I lurve (other people’s) kitties!
Daughter leaves for France today.

I wish I would stop having weird, and I mean weird, dreams. I want sleep, not weird dreams!

I await the newborn kitty photos! Here’s one to tide us over until bobbio hops-to.

My middle child, 9-year-old Cherry Boy (the one who’s only a head, if you remember the photo) got a blue ribbon at the speech competion last night! Ye parents will know what wonderous news this is, when you’ve had a kid struggling in school. They were theatening DISCIPLINARY ACTION earlier this year due to his reluctance to turn in homework and LOOK AT HIM NOW! I’m beaming with pride over the accomplishments of Kristoff, on the left (of course).

Gooooood morning, Dopers!

It appears this week’s MMP is all about the animals, huh? MBG and Ellen, you two have the most adorable cats ever. Love their poses in the pictures (Ellen, yours looks like s/he’s trying to dive off the couch. Aww. insert more random squeeage here And can’t wait for pics of the new kittens (pictures that will be coming, right?).

Congratulations on your kid’s achievements too, Ellen! I’ll bet he’s real proud of himself, and you should be, too!

So I’m proud to say that I did not skip any classes today (unlike what happened yesterday… heh… Theatre’s not worth going to anyway…), and I think I may have aced my Logic quiz too! Take that, hypothetical syllogisms!

And on a random note, I made a very interesting discovery yesterday: you see, on my campus, there is a deep ravine, about 100 feet, with a small stream running through it, that we have to cross via a bridge to get from dorms to class halls. Well, people seem to have an affinity for throwing the most bizarre items into the ravine that they possibly can think of. For a while there’s been a pink bike stuck in the branches of one of the trees by the bridge, but yesterday I looked down at the stream and discovered that someone had thrown a vacuum cleaner into it. Apparently they really didn’t feel like cleaning the apartment that day.

We’ve all had those days, I think. :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Friday everyone! I have a million things to do and of course am procrastinating on all of them. Today a friend is throwing a party and I told him I’d bring a dish of something - I think I’m going to make deviled eggs. Or try to, anyway - I’ve never made deviled eggs before.

Congrats **Ellen ** on your son! As a teacher I know how rewarding it is to watch a student improve. And the kitty is sooooooo cute!

Bobbio, congrats on the healthy kittens! Can you send me one by email?

Which reminds me, I got an anonymous present on Facebook - of a little kitty icon. It’s made me all curious as to who would go through the bother of making it anonymous - I feel like I’m back in high school.

Random thought - I wished I lived by myself so I could walk around in my underwear.

I was walkin’ around in my underwear earlier today. JoeDawg gave me a really disgusting look, as if he were sayin’, “Gross, human! Only us superior creatures with natural coats of fur are allowed to walk around without clothes. Go get dressed!” He also added a snort. I sense he was displeased. Speakin’ of which, I must go check and see if he’s through taking his afternoon sun bath. It’s around eighty Amurrkin here and super nice out. I left him stretched out and snoozin’ about half an hour ago.

I just got back from lunch with Mom. Now I have more tax returns but I’m the only one here since the boss man has a lunch meeting, the other girl went to lunch, and the other guy isn’t even here today. Peace and productivity at last!

AWWWWWWWWWWWW! Cute kitten, Ellen! And congrats on the son doing so well.

What? No dog pictures??

I’m so totally unmotivated this afternoon. Which would be fine except I have a phone call with a vendor in a few minutes. Which I really really really don’t want to deal with. I like the person I’m working with a lot which makes it a zillion times more difficult that the software sucks and I don’t want to do any work with the project. So I always feel bad when I talk to her. Why does she have to be so darned likable? When the software’s so unlikable? ::sigh::

Ask and ye shall recieve. The infamous JoeDawg, the insane chee-hooah-hooah.

I am so lovin’ the cable modem, folks. I took off early today and stopped at the Target on the way home - needed some stuff including a bath mat (bathroom floors are cold in the morning w/o a bath mat to step onto!) and am now happily ensconced on the computer, surfing the internet comcastically.

Congrats to CherryBoy! He’s cute too, EllenCherry, as is the little one. Good thoughts being sent to your director’s sister, Rosie. Swampy, little JoeDawg is cute! He looks like a mini-mini Pinscher, since he’s got that classic dobermann coloring.

Bobbio, I too await kitten pics, if you can get them. Congrats on your foster dad status too, btw. MBG, hope that you get a good secretary this time. When I retire from my job, I’ll probably be looking for something part time, but I think I might want to do something different from secretarial then.

Happy Weekend, everyone!!

:o :o Embarrassment! That cute kitty is not mine! I swiped him off Cute Overload! Kitties are verboten at Chez Cherry. We’re all allergic as hell. We have to get our squeees by proxy! But thanks for the congrats about Christopher. I’m proud of him. He’s a smart, quick-witted little booger. If only he would apply himself

swampy, Joe Dawg is YOUR dog? Where did I get the idea you were just his occasional doggiesitter?

Hurrah! I got my paper back today from my tutor, another great mark and more lovely comments. He said he’s really enjoyed reading my papers and said I won’t need luck to get me through the last one. Sadly he won’t get to grade it because it goes to external markers this time but he’ll get to read and comment on it afterwards.

Does this mean I can have pie now?

:: sends BooFae warm pecan pie a la mode ::

It’s already 3pm! Where has the day gone, I ask you? I shall nip off to the store and get deviled eggs ingredients.

PS - Swampy, JoeDawg is adorable!!

BooFae you have earned pie ala mode and beer. Congrats! I’m sure this paper will sail right on through.

Ellen JoeDawg is not my dog. I am his nanny for the weekend. I had snapped those pics of him a couple years ago at my friend’s house. I say those cause there’s two. Personally I would never have a green leather chair, but who am I to judge other’s taste in furniture. Oh who are we kidding here! I’m gay, of course I can point and laugh at other’s taste in furniture.

Herbs JoeDawg is a chee-hooah-hooah with a doberman temperment. At least he likes to think so. Speaking of which, dindin has been served. Beef 'n gravy with a little steak thrown in for extra flavor. Tomorrow he shall have a little leftover hamburger thrown in his chicken ‘n gravy dindin for extra flavor. Ya know, friend is always puzzled how JoeDawg seems to be a little picky with just his regular food for a couple days after he goes home from a weekend of me bein’ his nanny. Wonder why that is…

Ol’ y’all know who will be here soon. He is in charge of burger grillin’ tonight cause I’m in charge of bacon, fries and jalapeno poppers. There will be margaritas also. I predict much appreciation bein’ shown after two or three margaritas.

ETA: Haze I gotta admit the cantankerous insane lil’ pooch is a cutie. He lurves his nanny!

Cute pup, swampy! He’s got quite the air of confidence about him, doesn’t he?

Well, even if it’s not yours, Ellen, that’s still one of the cutest kittens I’ve seen in a while. Thanks for brightening the moment.

And congrats on the ego boost, BooFae!

So, I’m lounging around in the student hangout building on campus (I can’t think of a good way to describe it; there’s many rooms, open hallways and balconies filled with chairs and tables for students to use, a gaming center, a movie room with a huge TV, rooms for club meetings, presentations and the like), and someone has decided it would be brilliant to blast the “It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time!” song loud enough to be heard throughout the entire building. It’s not even the normal PBJ song though; this one is a remix.

I would find this hilarious if I weren’t actually trying to be productive and write a journal of value right now.

yay boofae!!!

**I met my new secretary! I met my new secretary! I met my new secretary! I met my new secretary!
**
At least unless the one other good candidate I have to meet Monday is even MORE outstanding that is.

She’s a principal’s secretary at another district right now, her references are way excellente, and she just shines. Really, I want her.

In a strictly secretarial way of course.

CUTE!
