VWife was called by the local animal shelter about fostering a pregnant cat until the kittens are about 8 weeks old. She said yes and picked up Preggo around 10 this morning. Mama and kittens all have homes to go to, BTW
When I got home from work, Preggo had 3 screaming kitties and was hunching her back on #4. I hate cats…
Of course Cuervo wakes you up multiple times a night, MBG! He’s adorable and must be adored.
Hope the job fair went well, Hank.
Poor Bobbio! You’ll feel better once you’ve posted the pics and we’ve squeeeeeeed. And, hey, it’s only a few weeks, right?
I’m hungry, too, Rebo.
I can’t believe you haven’t tried carrot cake, Nava. It doesn’t taste like carrots at all, really.
Apparently sleeping poorly was on the menu last night. Glad I wasn’t the only one. But now I’m tired, of course.
Thanks for the doughnut, rigsy.
No known flesh-eating plants, swampy. Mostly it’s a flower garden, but I need to get rid of some blackberry brambles and a wild rose bush. Maybe i’ll be inspired this weekend. :dubious:
Guess I should go find something non-virtual to eat.
Does anybody else want to know whyBobbio has a sticky keyboard?
I got taken out for Eyetalian instead of burgers. YAY! ACBG had a hankerin’ for some meatballs with angel hair pasta. Said he’d been thinkin’ bout it all day. Well, as we all know, a hankerin’ must be satisfied. I had the bowtie festival which is chicken in this nummy garlicy sauce with bowtie pasta. Ima have the leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Just so’s we get our minimum weekly burger requirement in, supper tomorrow will be grilled burgers. MMMMMMMM… bacon cheeseburgers even. Think I’ll make a salad and some home fries too.
As appalling as this is to taxi, I am indeed making another post prior to appreciation being shown. This time it’s me showin’ appreciation for good Eyetalian food.
Sadly, I see I have been misunderstood. I wanted something to snerk about the next day to happen, <in bed>, but it did not.
So, I didn’t sleep well. Perhaps I’ll sleep well tonight?
I just spent $274 at Sportmart on Daughter (ok, I bought myself $30 worth o’ merchandise, too.) Who knew that NorthFace stuff was so expensive? And sports bras? It’s enough to make you into a couch potato!
She leaves tomorrow for her holiday with Abercrombie model guy. I hope she knows the French word for condom…
Just got back from the career fair - it was hectic and I dunno if I’ve accomplished anything, but at least I passed out some resumes. Now comes the kick off shoes and drinking part. Well, first the surf the Dope in my underwear part. I’ll mosey over for a drink at my friend’s place in a bit.
:dubious: Uh, because the PC is 4 years old, and the keys are wearing out?
Git yer mind out of the gutter, 00Ursine. I know, I know. That’d be a first…
Somedays I really miss school. The Canes won tonight, so we still have playoff hopes. Tomorrow is truck day.[sub][sub] whimper[/sub][/sub], then I’ll call mom and wish her a happy birthday.
bobbio, congrats, you’re a dad, sort of.
rigs, maybe you should have gone, then there would be much <snerk>ing in France
Les preservatifs, I think, rigs. Or maybe your girl won’t like hot French boys. It’s been known to happen.
Thanks for the job congrats. Today I even got a flunky of my very own! The boss man hired a sixteen-year-old to do some filing and such, so I wouldn’t have to do so much of it and could concentrate on bookkeeping and tax stuff. They put me in charge of her, though. She’s a tiny little thing with a tiny little voice, and giggled hysterically at the thought of having to make a business call to tell someone their taxes were ready.
We had a “visual coach” come in and watch us rehearse and give us some pointers and ideas to employ to make us sparkle on stage.
I got up on the risers for one song. My intention was to be on the risers for the whole package (two songs lasting - with entering and getting on, singing, receiving applause, and coming down and exiting - about 10 minutes, maybe a little less) but didn’t even make it thru the first number before a panic attack started brewing. I was on the second step, putting me about a foot above the floor, and even tho there was a sturdy body in front of me, I felt I was going to fall any minute. (I’m not even counting the intense pain in my knees) I’ve always had acrophobia but I could usually deal with it - it’s worse in open spaces like a ladder or open staircase, I can manage fine on the observation deck of a tall building or in an airplane. But this was bad. Now factor back in the knee pain and there is no way I’ll be able to perform this year. But hopefully, they’ll let me be in the picture anyway.
I got a new phone today - a picture phone with Bluetooth capability. (Whee! a new toy to play with!)
Our director’s sister, the one with diabetes, has declared she’s done with drastic measures, and has been moved from the ICU to a hospice like ward, where they will keep her as comfortable as possible. Please pray that she has a safe and easy passage.
Rosie - sending comforting thoughts to you and the director’s sister.
Bobbio, what’s wrong with cats? You know you love 'em really!
I went over to my friend’s place last night and saw her Maine Coon kitten, he’s seven months old now and he’s huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge! He’s got the most fantastic tail too, I think she needs to get him trained to do the dusting with it.
Why the freak am I up so galdarned early? grrrrrrrrr! I shall need copious amounts of coffee today.
But as long as I am up, I will play with my new phone until it’s time to get ready for work.
You know whats best about fridays? We have our weekly thrill with the wine lottery. 5 kroner for a ticket. I feel lucky today so I’m going to buy four tickets.
Also, today theres leftover pizza from a meeting we had for students on wednesday evening.
I got home last night and I had set the crockpot too low, and the oniony roast was barely warm, and not falling apart at all. So we had grilled burgers and fries, and we’ll have the roast tonight.
Congrats on the kitties, bobbio!
Sorry about the acrophobia, Rosie. That must really suck, especially because you miss out on performing.
