World opinion of Trump shown in political cartoons

Hahahaha. Panama is still a joke. I guess that must the mundane pointless stuff you must share. 17 failed artists who chose to make a living drawing cartoons hardly qualifies as international opinion. Except in the Democrat collective’s groupthink. But if personal attacks are all you and your comrades can muster, it looks like it’s going to be another great day.

If Trump leaves office peacefully I think we can.

Still waiting on that link to your collection. Come on, don’t be a tease. Give us at least two or three of your major works, and maybe talk a little bit about your creative process, what inspires you, etc. It’s always fascinating when you get a little window into the mind of a great artist.

Laugh all you want. Recently it’s been doing better economically and politically than the US. Especially politically.

Economic growth 2015:
Panama 5.8%
US 2.4%

Unemployment 2015
Panama 5.1%
US 5.3%

Public debt (% of GDP) 2015
Panama 38.8%
US 106%

That remains to be seen, of course. But even now, Trump has enormously devalued the image of the US.

doorhinge, political cartoons have a long history of using grotesque caricatures of the person or people they were sending up.

Thomas Nast from the 1870s.

Hahahaha. What’s 5.8% $50?

Good for them.

It’s nice when these “artists” include text with their doodles so the viewers have at least some chance of recognizing who the “artists” were attempting to draw.

Laugh all you want, as I said, but the US is the laughingstock here, not Panama.

Hahahaha. Of course you would say that, you’re in/from/advocate for/ Panama.

Just as there are 17 wanna-be-artists-turned-cartoonists who hate the U.S.A., I suppose there are residents of Panama who hate the U.S.A… That doesn’t make them bad people.

Thinking that Trump is a buffoon = hating the USA?

Actually, “thinking that he’s NOT a buffoon = hating the USA” is more consistent with observed facts and events.

Yip. Reddit reposted this comic from the 1949.

Trump is un-American. Not supporting him is pro-American.

I’m conflicted. I think Trump is a buffoon, and I don’t hate the U.S.A. I don’t know where this leaves me in Alternate Fact land. This is going to take a lot of getting used to.

My friends don’t hate the USA at all. In fact, some are dual citizens with an American parent. That doesn’t mean they don’t recognize that Trump is just as much a buffoon as some Latin American leaders.

You’re very much misreading things if you think that making fun of Trump means hating the US. In fact, quite the reverse, since Trump is contrary to many traditional American values.

Just for funzies, I went to the Wiki Donald Trump page, then in the left menu, looked at the page in all the different languages. Each one is composed independently, including the choise of portrait picture. The choice of photo of Trump might reflect what the article writer thought of him. About half of them use the angry scowl that is on the English language article. A few of them used a big, broad grin.

Contrary according to whom? You? Panamanians? The Democrat collective? The Republicans, independents, Democrats, and Bernie supporters who voted for Trump?

The answer to your question is intuitively obvious to the most casual observer.

*Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame
With conquering limbs astride from land to land
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

„Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!“ cries she
With silent lips. „Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.“*

Only if that casual observer doesn’t require clarification. What’s obvious to you may not be obvious to everyone else. For example, it’s obvious to me that not everyone is as fluent in Democrat Party groupspeak as the Democrat collective demands they should be.

AFTER they’ve been properly, and thoroughly, vetted, of course.

Illegal aliens are not.
