worst movie ever !

As I write this, The Saint is on television.

If it doesn’t get a LOT better soon, it’ll be my nominee.

Man there are so many:
Lately, my friends and I agreed that (im gonna get flamed for this one) The Messenger was a happy crappy load of smeg. We decided we’d rather watch our $8 burn than actually watch it again.

Batman and Robin: Oh lordy. “One size too small. Makes me look shlimmah!”

And a movie I got the honor of seeing at the director’s guild in hollywood… A Simple Plan. Everyone laughed at it, and most of the people who were watching with us worked on the movie. It was just stupid people doing stupid things to make the movie more stupid.

“outside providence”

very boring and i especially didnt like the fact that they kept saying “from the writers of ‘theres something about mary’”. they should have not included that.

I agree with Heat. If Scorcese had done it instead of Mann, it would have rocked. Who wants to see a 3 hour long episode of Miami Vice?

I probably missed it in the thread, but has anyone mentioned Star Wars: Episode 1? On sheer disappointment value, this one sucked Jar Jar Binks’ big, slimy, floppy ears, then went back for seconds.

Another godawful movie was Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country. I think it was part 5, but I’m not sure. It was directed by William Shatner, who should stick to what can only loosely be defined as acting. Ughh!

Sure, I buy into the concept that intentional low-budget stupidity disqualifies a contender. (Or conversely, a big budget, A-list actors, etc., are required to qualify.)

And on that basis, you gotta at least give a thought to

Speed II

(unless you want to disqualify sequels, too.)

Mission to Mars and Star Wars: The Phantom Menace were both AWFUL. I have never walked out on a movie due to general principals, but those movies were HORRIBLE. It makes me sick to THINK about them.
Random Hearts wasn’t too great either.
I really made an effort to “Get” Magnolia, but I didn’t.

That horrible movie w/ Matthew broderick and the air force Chimps. We actually walked out. Only time. I predicted the ending and was right on.

I liked Star Wars Episode 1. So there…

The Conqueror with John Wayne is a clasic turkey

My prediction: Battlefield Earth has Golden turkey written all over it.
