Worst. Sequel. EVER!

I’d have to say MIB II or MIIB or whatever they call it. It’s a pity too, since the first one was so good.

Teen Wolf Too

Actually it’s pretty good considering it’s a pointless sequel. But, as with Highlander II, the ending could have been better.

It’s at www.triggerstreet.com. This comp at work doesn’t have the Flash installed so I couldn’t look at it yet. I might give it a shot, though. I’ve got 3 screenplays. You can register for a U.S. copyright with a special form, PA, for screenplays.

Thanks for the tip!

No problema Viva. I meant to come back here and post the web name but I forgot.

Good luck. Hey, if you become famous and critically acclaimed make sure you thank me before you thank the Academy. Otherwise 10% of the gross earnings is fine with me.

Oh and another thing, promise not to make a really bad sequel. We wouldn’t want to have to add you to the list.

Oooh! Just what I need to share my dreams with the masses! As I’ve said before, my dreams tend to be like clips of movies. After one very intense dream I had trouble sleeping so I went on the 'Net to see if I could find a way to get a synopsis of that dream out to the proper people. This could be the answer!

If anyone’s wondering, that intense dream I had was about aliens taking over Earth by brainwashing its inhabitants. Could be the basis for a proper Men in Black sequel.

Arrival II (1998), the sequel to The Arrival (1996) earned 3.7/10 stars at IMDB. There are a lot of movies that you should watch simply because they’re so bad. But this is the only movie I know of that you should watch two movies for simply because the second one is so bad.

Did I miss it or has noone mentioned Rambo. The first one was watchable. The rest - forget it.

Brittany Spears’ next movie.

“The Frog People of Venus” didn’t have a sequel, so she won’t get cut out for worst ever if she makes “Down the block from the Crossroads.”

Tris

Who spent a very long ninety minutes with two much loved friends who really liked the “Crossroads”.

Star Trek V
1.)The damn thing was directed by Shatner himself and I saw it once described as an attempt by Shatner’s ego to either defecate or ejaculate over the big screen.
2.) The plot seems to grasp neither the feel of the original series or the grandeur of the 1, 2 4th movies.
3.) The special effects are lame. 1 was immense in its vision of Trek and 2 and 4 were just so slick in comparison.

What gets me is that if the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th movies in a series suck more than a black hole with a big straw, someone actually sat down and said “I bet I could do one of those, and it would be really good

OTOH, sometimes you have to try. To paraphrase from an interview with Jospeh Heller (who wrote catch 22, a classic, and other books no-one thinks are any good):

Q: Why haven’t you written any books as good as Catch 22?
A: Not many people have, mister. Not many people have.

Deal! It sounds perfectly fair to me. And I promise there will be no sequels of any kind. I only write my own original stuff.

I registered last night. It’s a 2:1 radio site: for every two screenplays or short subjects that is reviewed, one may be uploaded.

Holy shit there’s a Tremors 3?
IMDB reveals that there is also a Tremors TV series in the works and a Tremors 4 film to follow the first season.
The first one was excellent, the second had some nice moments but without Fred and Kevin, what’s the point?

DISCLAIMER: Poster will watch these anyway. Carry on.

Yeah, in the Charlie Rose interview KS explained that he wanted to make sure that every script got a fair chance to be reviewed. I believe he said that you pick a sceen play and they pick one for you to review. The review only has to be 50 words, I think, and they just wanted to make sure that you read the other screen plays before yours in uploaded.

Good luck to all.

P.S. Sorry for the Hi-jack. Perhaps it is time to move this to its own thread. Can we start a thread just to advertise the site? I don’t want to break the SD rules.

It should be noted that in Tremors III, they fly. You have been warned.

I should note that for some reason studios figure sequels can be made for a fraction of the price of the original and still rake in big bucks, so a lot of sequels are bad because they’re malnourished. At least until recently, things like Terminator II being given a much bigger budget than the original were unheard of.

So it is that Son of Kong, which could have been great (same actors, same creative team, same producers and director) got shafted by RKO by being given almost no money. That’s why there’s so much filler and time-wasting. Nevertheless, they managed to pull a pretty decent film out of the fire.

One sequel that really did suffer because it had no money was The Son of the Fly. The original film was in color, the sequel was black and white. The original had a modest expenditure for the fly-with-the-guy’s-head ending, the sequel used up about $5 of superimposition that didn’t come close to convincing. The writing and direction were pretty poor.

Amazingly, they followed this up with another sequel – The Curse of the Fly.

…and they make it easy to do so by offering both on dvd for the price of one (check it out at Blockbuster…one box, two bad flicks…)
