Jessica Simpson and her then-husband had a variety show that lasted 1 episode that I know of. I saw it on the TV listings and started to watch it just to see if it was for real.
It was; I lasted maybe 10 minutes.

If its reputation and this clip is any indication, the early 70s Canadian sitcom “The Trouble With Tracy” has got to be in the running.
I have two. One is anything with the Kartrashians. I cannot bear any of them.
The other is a misfire by Lucille Ball in 1986, Life With Lucy, where the 75 year old Ms. Ball tries yet again with her old pal Gale Gordon to make another Lucy series. I vaguely remember seeing an episode or two, but it was kind of embarrassing and really, her best days were behind her.
And I still have that edition of Playboy. Pretty girl, but awfully flat-chested! ![]()
***Hunting Hitler ***on H2. The most pointless piece of absolute bullshit I have ever seen!
Between the Wars and World War II from Space were only marginally better.
Ditto for Jungle Gold on Discovery.
Small Wonder is my vote as well. Truly awful dreck.
Despite being superficial I don’t think What Not to Wear was/is that bad.
Worst show in terms of impact on the human condition? Keeping Up With the Kardashians
Worst show in terms of production/entertainment value? Next on MTV…
There are soo soo soo many bad shows. The majority of shows are bad. This topic makes me glad I watch shows on the internet.
Too many to choose really, but what truly sta
nd’s out in my memory for the most despicable of all was The Swan. The show’s theme was “Women are worthless unless they look like Barbie.”
Taking ordinary attractive enough women with self esteem issues and showing their families talking about how ugly they are, while putting the so called contestants through unnecessary plastic surgery and then a big build up to the victim’s first view of herself in the mirror. Yay! You’re a Barbie doll, just like all the others!
This was peddled as uplifting. There was an older episode just like this show…on The Twilight Zone. That was supposed to be a horror show.
Sheldon Leonard’s Big Eddie. Never heard of it? There’s a reason!
(Think Who’s The Boss with, oh, say, Donald Trump in the Judith Light role.)
The Lawrence Welk Show
The Jerry Springer Show - the most famous of the “talk shows” that provided a stage for the poorly behaved and morally depraved. I’m not sure who was worse: the “panelists” who trashed their own reputations for 15 minutes of fame, the viewers who cheerfully gawked at these wretched people as a means of entertainment, or the producers, who profited off of the most marginalized segment of society – without even pretending to care about them as people after the filming stopped.
The U.S. has never recovered its dignity.
I loved that show!
My vote would be one of those Bigfoot or ghost-hunting shows with a bunch of people standing around in the dark with their equipment, saying, “Did you hear that?”
Two Broke Girls is a stinker also.
Nancy Grace.
I agree wholeheartedly about the “supernatural” shows and TBG even though they are both attractive the writing seems to make the show dreadful. I think every show with e a laugh track since friends does so to cover up poor writing (see Big Bang Theory without the track, though Jim Parsons is a great actor.)
Davey and Goliath.
Under the Dome was horrible. I couldn’t turn away from the first season, though, I think because of the cast. I kept thinking that the potential for an uptick was there. The storylines were like Rorschach prints that never coalesced though.
My nominations are Three’s Company and The Ropers. Just awful.
Me too. With a MST3K/Rifftrax commentary, it could be fun.
