This thread reminds me of a relly funny story
A worker on a building site was moving a large number of bricks from the top of a building to the ground. He was working on his own, using a pulley standind on the ground looking up.
He weighed about 150 pounds and the bricks weighed alot more. Simple mechanics should tell you what happened next.
As soon as the bricks had left the building the man flew skywards.
His injures are layed out in the medical report.
- his shoulders were dislocated by the force lifting him up
- his fractured skull was due to the collision with the bricks as the passed him on his way up
- his broken fingers were caused by them jamming into the pulley.
Now the bricks hit the floor causing most of the to fall out
this resulted in him plummiting towards the ground
- the dammage to feet and ankles was due to the collision with the bricks as they pass him whilst falling.
- the back and neck damage was due to the impact with the floor and remaining bricks
Now in a daised state and a lot of pain he lets the rope go
- the broken ribs punchered lung and broken leg was due to the crate of bricks falling on to of him.
- he was found 45 minutes later
Admittedly he did not die put the amound of pain the poor bloke was in for those 45 minutes and the piss taking he must get now would make it worse than death
