Would you drive the Weinermobile?

Just saw the WienerMobile leaving work:

Mixing it up with rush hour traffic on Washington Avenue.

In which city? Washington Ave’s are a dime a dozen in the USA.

I bet it’s in Wisconsin or an adjacent state, but after that I have no clue.

Looks like St. Paul after Googling 3B Union Depot.

Googling is cheating. If you can’t figure it out from personal knowledge, plus the clues in the scene, well, go back to the 20th century before Google.

I was working off the billboard. A quick look at the license plates (not those on the wienermobile) says they’re MN too.

I bet you’re right.

It’s Washington and 11th Ave. in St. Paul. I play Geoguesser a lot. I know how to track these things down, but not as good as some of the pros who play the game.

Washington and 11th in Minneapolis. I work next door.

Cedar Square West in the background is a dead giveaway.

Hey they’re Twin Cities! I can’t tell them apart! Like I said, I’m not as good as the pros. (It’s Union Depot that is in St. Paul and screwed me up.)

Some unfortunate doings afoot in suburban Chicago today. Musta been those white out blizzard conditions.

That’s not gonna buff out. Fixing custom sorta-one off vehicles is not cheap. Good thing OM is a big company.

That happened on the Tri-State Tollway, about 3 miles from me. That part of the Tri-State is under a major reconstruction project (and has been for several years), and it’s difficult enough to navigate the narrow, weaving lanes through the construction zone in a regular car.

Heh heh buffing your Weiner(mobile).

Only if there’s a toilet in the back of that thing.

Poor Weenie.

I put a weiner on my bun on its side tho’, don’t want the hump getting outta hand and flop out. That’s always disappointing!
:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

No. I had a job once that was 80% travel. It was fun for about six months, and there were perks, but it did me in. I was a lot younger then, I really cannot see surviving it now. Plus which, the arthritis in my back does NOT like long car trips.

I might try to do it for $5 million, but even then I’m not sure I would physically make it through a whole year. For $35k? Not even a week.

The Wiener mobile used to come into my shop for service occasionally, all the mechanics wanted to get their picture taken in it. I never really looked at it that closely I was always busy when it came in.

Their website says Penske services the Weiner mobile and the Nut mobile.

According to Wikipedia, since 2008 the Weinermobile chassis is a Mini Cooper S Hardtop.

That is very true, and I ran a Penske shop until I retired in 2012.

The MINI based one was added to the existing fleet; it wasn’t a replacement.
