Wow, could RENO 911 possibly suck MORE ass?

When I was younger, I saw a video of two young Asian girls vomiting on each other. One saw the puke on her chest and dutifully ate up all those corn nuggets.

RENO 911 equals that in levels of shocking suckdom.

Don’t worry, if I encounter a snuff film, RENO will equal that, too.

Wow. I guess no one can ever accuse you of not having strong opinions.

I rather like the show, myself.

I should clarify. I like the show Reno 911. I have not seen the show featuring the two Asian women, to the best of my recollection.

Actually have you seen a similar cops spoof show that airs on TBS late at night as “interstitial” programming? No idea what the name is and it doesn’t seem to have a regular air time. Just late night filler between the end of late night movies and the early morning sticoms or Chips reruns.

It’s like Reno 911 set in some backwoods Southern county, only without the gross-out humor and mostly shot with one camera with no intercuts of comments or narration by the officers. So it sucks without even the lame attempts to shock.

2 Asian girls barfing… yeah, that’s quality TV/video.

Hmmm…I thought it was a pretty decent show. Not the best thing on t.v., but far from the worst.

I’ll tell ya’, though - 2 girls barfing is friggin’ Hamlet compared to Fox’s “Banzai”.

I thought Reno 911 was pretty funny, compared to most of what’s on television now. Still, though, I wonder how long they can keep it up without resorting to cliches.

Please tell me you’re kidding. I challenge you to name a single moment of that show that isn’t cliche-ridden.

I only saw the first episode so far, but it had me in stiches. Of course it won’t last 6 episodes… but I loved it. Of course, I could just be glad to see any improv show OTHER than Who’s Line… given a chance. (But then Life with Bonnie bored me, so perhaps that theory’s no good.)

I also thought it was pretty good. The first episode was better than the second, but I’ll keep watching.

It’s miles better than Viva Variety, the troupe’s last Comedy Central show.

“Officer Johnson…is a whore”.

“So what about if we say: which n----r took the last donut?”
“Uh, I’m pretty sure that’s completely inappropriate.”

I’d still rather watch that than Colin Quinn’s show.

Read this thread. Everyone else thinks its funny.

Also, cliche-ridden and funny aren’t mutually exclusive.

Exactly. I didn’t say the show wasn’t funny, but in the first episode alone it managed to hit on just about every cop cliche imaginable, leaving me to wonder what could possibly come next.

I thought it was pretty funny. Cop getting his wallet stolen while getting maced-- cliched but kinda funny. Mace guy coming back to get a goodbye squirt through the window-- funny.

Cop bumping car and getting out to apologize thereby stumbling upon a hole trunkload of weed-- cliched. Cops “disposing” of said weed in a bonfire while roasting marshmellows-- cliched but funny.

Boring cop making up the pez in the bellybutton story just to have something to chat about-- funny. Boring cop replacing the banned “f-word” with “fuck”— funnier still.
Is that a link to an “I like Reno 911” thread? Let me go check it out.

Not to hijack or anything (no, surely not), but I’ve seen those Asian girls puking too. Man, what the hell was that all about?
