Hi all!
I still lurk around a bit, but I have been pretty quiet as far as posting.
I see lots of new people and a few familiar places.
So, who wants to wrap up the last few months for me. Anything I might want to check out, things I should avoid?
Holy cow, stranger. Welcome back.
Hey, thanks!
How are you guys? Family any bigger? Baby not so much a baby anymore.
You’ve adjusted a bit living not so north?
We’re fine, thanks for asking. We’re actually smaller, since I’ve lost a shitload of weight. Baby just turned two on 11/11.
Adjusting, still. I’ve met a bunch of Canadians here.
Hi Kricket! waving frantically
Weight loss is good! (healthy weight loss I hope?) Man I can’t believe it’s been two years. wow.
Hello Astroboy14!!! ~hugs~ for you and for wifey! I miss you both tons!!
Hey! I remember you! Well, I remember your name anyway. Even tho I don’t think we ever interacted.
But, welcome back!
Good to see you posting, Kricket!
Give us a call sometime.

hey kricket! how goes it?
I think we rumaged around in some of the same threads FCM.
Cajun man, I just had back surgery last week and and slowly up and around. Everytime I get on your side of the river I think about calling but always worried about being a bother since it’s so random.
Hiya rocking chair! Things are going pretty well right now.
Hi, Kricket! Nice to meet you!
From my short while on the board I know you should definitely avoid the following:
-
Anything having to do with tipping in restaurants;
-
Anything to do with washing one’s hands after visiting the restroom;
-
Anything to do with the words “supernatural”, “paranormal” or other such things
-
Anything to do with discrimination of any kind.
Though I have an idea that the nature of these particular topics are nothing new to the SDMB, so you likely knew this already.
Welcome home!
Yes, the tipping, spooky, and discrimination stuff I am aware of.
Even though washing after the restroom is a given, I’m kinda of scared to ask what happened so that made it to such a short list.
We have any new babies? Marriages? Please nobody got hurt or died?
Not much new around here.
I had back surgery as I mentioned. They replaced the disk between my L5 S1. They went in through my stomache to do it. My back feels much better already only a week out of the hospital, but where they went in through my stomache really hurts.
Some of you might remember my youngest son with the platelet disorder. He hasn’t had any issues in over a year now so we think he’s out grown it.
My oldest son is a freshman in high school. No more being hit by cars for him! Some remember issues we were having with his bio-dad, those are mostly a thing of the past since bio-dad still never comes around and Josh is old enough to realise what it’s all about.
I think of Stuffy alot when something with Josh’s dad pops up and I wonder how things are going for his family.
My youngest daughter is growing like a weed and smart as a whip. It goes by too fast. She’s in fourth grade already.
My second oldest daughter will be 16 on the 19th of this month. Second year in high school and amazingly artistic. Just has one wild attitude and she and I clash more often than I would like.
My oldest daughter is a senior this year. Smart and beautiful, and I am ever so proud of her. It’s going to be so hard this year, watching her getting ready to leave me for better things.
I think of Bodypoet when things in my marriage get me down. She always made me feel a bit better for being such a strong person and I wonder how she is.
Sorry guys, medicated and rambling and it’s not even 10am yet.
I think this Monday I might just joing in on the MMP. I’ve watched it a few times and think I might be ready.
Hi Kricket! I remember your name, but don’t think we’ve been in the same threads. Welcome back!
Definitely stop by the MMP. It’s always fun to see additional faces…

Hi honeylove!
Good to have you back.
PS: Larry and John don’t need advance notice, they are sweethearts who would love to hear from you. Any day, anytime. Call them when you can. Which reminds me that I need to call them.
I have platelet disorders as well, and although I still bruise at the slightest bump…I outgrew the worst of it. As in, I am not likely to die from it. Here is hoping that he continues to be just as blest.
Mistress Kricket! Nice to have you back!
Welcome back, Kricket!
Scotti! ~hugs~
I never realised that you had a platelet issue. My son had/has ITP.
EJgirl I haven’t had anyone call me Mistress Kricket in a long time. Made me smile, thank you!
Thanks for the encouragement to post in the MMP gardentraveler.
