I watched Friends tonight for the first time in a long time and am shocked at how bad Cox looks now. She looks like a skeleton. An old skeleton. Phoebe looks VERY old now too. Jennifer Aniston isn’t showing her age as bad as those two, but she is definitely catching up.
As far as the guys go the only one who is looking old is Chandler.
This cast has got to be the most “showing physical signs of aging” cast of any show ever.

Agree totally. Although I’ve thoroughly detested this show for a long time, now. I get to watch it because my dahling wife loves it, and so it’s kind of an unavoidable background noise around here.
A: Skinniness does not equal age.
B: Lisa Kudrow is 7 years older than Jennifer Aniston, which would account for the difference in the way the two look.
C: I don’t know many people who would look as good as Cox or Aniston at 18, much less 38.
I do think Courtney would look less haggard if she weren’t so thin…I think Jennifer looks pretty good though.
I think Jennifer Aniston is more beautiful than ever right now. She gets better looking each year. Maybe she’s getting a bunch of cosmetic surgery or something, I really have no idea, but when the show started, I thought she was just conventionally pretty, no big deal. Now, she’s stunning, IMO.
Courtney Cox though, I agree, is way too thin. Also really bad hair.

I’m tempted to agree. Her hairstyles have gotten progressively better over the length of the show, as have her outfits (which really show off her breasts now.) She was always cute, but back when she was a waitress on the show they just weren’t showing her off as much. She always seemed kind of waif-ish back then. Or maybe I just totally forgot what people liked to wear in the mid-90’s.
Where are all these comments coming from? I’ve only seen a handful of people ever who were “too skinny” to look good, mostly because of the unattractive neck that results. I don’t really see how putting on weight would make her look any better, unless it went straight to her boobs. Explain how it would.
Anyway, she still looks fine to me, I wouldn’t kick her out of bed.
Huh. I’ve always though Jennifer Aniston looked much better in the first half of the series. She looks too gaunt or something to me nowadays.
Hmmm, well I can’t seem to find any links to pictures to compare contrast the 1995 Cast photos and the 2002 cast photos. If someone can, perhaps we can settle this, or just toss fuel on the fire.
I don’t know, Rex, maybe you’re right. All I know is that I don’t find Courtney as attractive lately as I did before. Some folks say it’s because she’s too thin, and I think yeah, maybe that’s why…all I know is, she’s not looking too good lately, IMO.

I can almost see your point, her collarbone is a little pronounced in a few of the pictures I’ve just looked at, that can be a result of ultra-thinness. But there’s no guarantee that any weight she put on would go to the right places.
Of course, what we think doesn’t really matter. Courtney likes looking the way she does, I suppose, and it’s her choice ultimately. She’s a multi-millionaire, a popular celebrity, and so doesn’t need our validation. I’m sure that if NBC thought her looks were beginning to be a problem, they’d tell her so and she’d change. She almost certainly has a clause in her contract about her appearance, since nobody would watch the show if, for instance, everyone on the cast put on 100 pounds (then they’d look heavier than me and my friends, so why watch the show?) So I’ve got to imagine there’s a clause somewhere about her appearance, and so that NBC is satisfied.
Slight hijack: When they had the show three weeks ago with the “Days of our Lives” actors and Rachel was getting the cast’s phone numbers on napkins and Joey was going through them, he should have said “What? This guy plays Victor. He’s old enough to be your father.” Victor is played by John Aniston.
They missed an obvious reference there.
Well, look at her when the show started compared to now. She used to have a round face that looked normal. Now she looks like her head is a skull with skintone paint on it. She obviously lost weight that was there at one time, so it would probably go back there if she ate some cheese or drank some protein shakes or something. I don’t know if you watched last nights episode or not but she wa sin some club with phoebe and every time she smiled it made me want to vomit because she looked so sickly. Phoebe just looks really old now. Her face has wrinkled worse than anyone on the show. Im not saying that that is bad thing, just an observation.
They’ve got to pull the plug on this show before they cause serious disruptions in the world’s makeup supply in trying to keep Lisa Kudrow looking young. Jennifer still rocks and could pass for 25 easily. Courtney never was my cup of tea but she’s definitely aged better than Lisa. One show where you can really see someone age quickly is Are You Being Served? In the first year, Miss Brahms is a very hot young dish, about five years later she looks as old as Mrs. Slocumbe.

I agree that Courteney Cox is way too skinny. I remember an interview with her not too long ago where someone had commented that her face was perhaps a bit too thin, and her relply was something like, “Well, yeah, to get your butt the right size, sometime your face has to be a little gaunt.” :eek: How exactly do you present yourself to people, Courteney? <turn around and wiggle butt in their face> “Hi, I’m Courteney Cox.”
I liked Jennifer Aniston’s round-faced look too – she was much cuter then. That strapless top last night really showed off how bony she has become. If the camera adds ten pounds, just imagine how skeletal these women look in real life.
With these women held up as a standard of beauty, no wonder we have normal eight-year-old girls complaining that they’re too fat.
It surprises me that no one has mentioned Joey. He has had bags under his eyes for years. I think he has ages much less well than the others.
I have always thought Courntney was hot, from way back when she was on Misfits of Science. But Jennifer Aniston is also a beauty.
Wrinkles and way too much make-up or not she still looked hotter than hell in that dress towards the end.
Hmm. I was just commenting last night that I wish I could dig up Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” video so we could see Courtney Cox again when she was young and pretty.
